1969 Lotus Europa S-2 I have had this car for 30+ years. It is a complete car with very few small items missing that I may find such as the top to the air cleaner housing. I'm sure there may be a few other little things but I can't think of them. From front to back including the original Lotus hubcaps most everything is there. The car was painted 30+ years ago with high quality Imron paint and it has held up well. As the pictures show she still shines well. There are some blemishes and small nicks but no body damage of any substance. I drove the car 25 years ago and it has been in storage ever since making the move to Georgia with me. The frame appears to be in good condition with only some light surface rust. Last year I piddled around with it and checked the compression which was fine. I poured a little gas down the carb and she sputtered and acted like she wanted to run. Surely the carb will need to be rebuilt. As most anyone who is considering this purchase knows, this car was extraordinary for its time with light steering and incredible grip. With current tire technology this car would likely generate near 1.5 G's of cornering force. Many SCCA solo and road race champions have piloted these fun little cars. TODAY I RAISED THE CAR AND THOROUGHLY INSPECTED THE FRAME FROM FRONT TO REAR AND STAKE MY EBAY RATING ON THE FACT THAT THE RUST ON THE CAR IS SURFACE RUST ONLY AND IN NO AREA FROM FRONT TO REAR HAS THE RUST COMPROMISED THE STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY OF THE CAR. THERE ARE NO AREAS INCLUDING THE BOTTOM AND SIDES OF THE GAS TANK THAT COULD BE DAMAGED BY PRODDING WITH A SCREWDRIVER OR HITTING WITH A HAMMER. THERE ARE NO BENT SECTIONS OF FRAME FROM IMPROPER JACKING OR ANYTHING ELSE. I HAVE ADDITIONAL PICTURES I TOOK TODAY TO BACK THIS UP. THANKS AND BID CONFIDENTLY.
