Vehicle Detail

My grandfather bought this car new with the V-8 and 4 speed manual transmission. When he was ready to trade it in I bought it. At that time I was a college student and it was put in my parents name for insurance purposes. After graduation the title was put in my name and I have the passenger registrations to prove this. My goal was to restore it to show room condition. The motor was professionally rebuilt at about 100,000 miles (in 1981) and I have the receipt from the shop to prove it. I also had body work done about that time. After many years of not doing anything with it I have decided to sell to someone who will. The body over all is in good shape but does have some problems. The driver’s rear panel is the worst. It has some body cancer. I also had them replace the trunk and completely repaint the car. There is a chip on the motor’s hood about the size of a half dollar and some very small chips on the doors. The paint that the shop used (1980’s) to repaint the car was called something like “Emron”. I was told all body shops were using it because it was durable. However, after years it gets a haze that looks like oxidation but is not. She still looks good but to get to show room condition it should be repainted. The interior is all original. The driver’s seat has a broken spring and there are a few warn spots on the arm rest. The driver’s door needs the part that keeps it in the open position when opened. This car has set in my garage for a number of years and started right up. I know nothing about rating the condition of a car. I will let the photos do the talking. As I stated before I am not very knowledgeable about cars but I know enough that it is a collectable and very restorable. I would prefer to sell to someone who can see it before buying. Please do not ask what the reserve price is. I will not tell you. Ron
