Vehicle Detail

1963 Impala Sport Coupe. Original untouched car, but needing resto. Asking $4200.00 starting bid. Has original 250 hp 327 4 barrel Rochester carb. NOT RUNNING. 3:08 Posi rear end. Power steering, Power brakes, Has factory blue tinted windows, ("Soft Ray" Glass) Dealer add on air. Two Speed wipers with washers, and still has glass windshield solvent bottle on inner wheel well. Basically car is 100% complete, and 100% original. Never had any body work or panels replaced. Still has original paint one side of the car, ...other side I striped and have primered. This is a very nice original for some one to restore. Just pulled out of 16 year storage. Car will need complete resto, but everything is all there including; original air cleaner, jack with spare, even original radio, rims, and hubcaps. All buyers and even Late Great Chevrolet Association members and enthusiasts can be assured that the fololowing casting and serial numbers have been verified by the Information Data And Judging Guidelines Manual. (National Impala Association members may also appreciate this offerimg of a 100% original classic.) For any questions, email me thru ebay, or you may call 309-631-3016. If you are a serious buyer, I will gladly email you more pictures of car, or add them to listing. 1847 - Model Number F100S - Engine Suffix Code 250 Hp 327 ( also same motor used in Corvettes) 7023006 -Carburetor ID tag no. Rochester 4V for automatic T1009D -Transmission serial number 3789812 (P) Rear end Casting no. Posi rear end, and still has tag on filler plug designating lube needed for posi unit. AX - Differential Ratio stamping Designates 3:08 gears This car also still has many assembly panit markings on rear end and other areas of the car. Trim Tag info is as follows: 63-1847 - STYLE JA 5677 - BODY (and production no.) 918 - Paint (Azure Aqua) 853 -TRIM Interior color, Medium Aqua Vinyl (Imitation leather grain) with Sparta cloth inserts A01-B70-U80 -ACC (Accessories code numbers) Again, this car has everything in place and untouched, such as inner wheel well mud flaps, original radiator cap, air cleaner, all vacuum lines and carb linkage and kick trans down linkage, originla exhaust manifolds and hangers, ...and even the original door lock knobs. All locks on doors and trunk still work, and all windows still roll up and down. (except wing windows, they'll need lubricating or repair) The car has solid inner rear quarters and upper trunk floors on left and right sides. Outer doors, fenders and lower quarters are just starting to get a few small rust holes in the normal places. I have restored almost a dozen Impalas over the years, and I believe that all the outer body panels can be repaired with just a few small patches welded in. In my opinion this car would not need any major outer panels or skins replaced. The left (driver side) floor pans still have original primer and undercoating on them. The right side (passenger side) floor pans will need replacing. The rockers and ribs that support floor pans are all in good shape, except the two front ones, (And I have two new ones that go with the car.) The lower trunk floor has rust holes starting along the rear and will need replacing. In the photos though you can see the original black paint still on the sides of the lower trunk pan. The interior is all there, but will need new dash pad, carpet and headliner. I have new vinyl for bottom of Door panels, which are being recovered at present and will be back on the car this week end.. The glass is good, and so is the chrome finish on windows, all except the bottom corners of Wing wondows. There is an under dash dealer add on A/C unit that goes with the car. This would make a great restoration. First, because it is ALL there to start with, and secondly this color combination of the Light Metallic Blue paint, with the light blue interior, along with the factory "blue" tinted windows, makes a beautiful classic ride when done. I did a 64 Impala just like this years ago, and it looked sharp. Sadly I do not have the time, at this point, to do another 60's Impala. (SEE picture of 64 Impala in photos, to see sample of color combination, THE 64 IMPALA IS NOT FOR SALE) The car rolls, and all tires hold air. I can help load on trailer or car transport, but buyer is responible for pick up, or arranging transportation. I did not pay attention as to what type of ad this is going to be placed in. I think it is a local ad. If so, it would be cash payment when car is picked up. I have clear title to the car. Or if some one a short distance away is interested, a deposit of $700.00 can be sent thru PayPal or by cashier or bank check to hold the car. The balance will be due in 7 days. If some one needs time to travel to pick up the car, or to make arrangements to have it transported, I will store the car, no charge for 30 days. But full payment must be made within the 7 days after receiving the $700.00 the deposit. If more time than 30 days is needed, before picking up the car, I can store it at lot across the street, at a charge of $40.00 per month to the buyer. Thank you for looking. And hope someone can bring this car back the the beautiful condition it was in originally. On Mar-12-11 at 21:37:26 PST, seller added the following information: Added Photos of areas of rust on driver side of vehicle. (1/4 only) Fender and door has spots same as passenger side. Note in photos of rear driver side quarter panel that the inner rocker in front of wheel well, has no rust and still has the factory rubber plugs and under coating intact. You can also see that the rubber plug is still in the inner quarter panel also. The front grill is in very good shape, the valance panel where license plate goes is bent, and the front hood lip chrome (with cheverolet in it) has pits in aluminum. The side moldings are sun faded. It appears that the anodized finish is worn off. If so, all pieces of side moldings could be easily buffed to restore finish. Other wise I have sources for companies that reanodize aluminum moldings. The rear left 1/4 molding does have small bent area by "IMPALA" letters. If buyer is going to rebuff existing chrome, I may be able to help locate another good used left rear 1/4 molding. Hope this addition info and photos answers most questions. Also had question about shipping. I can help load car for transport company. When you make arrangements, just have them call me a day or two before they arrive. I will take photo of vehicle showing that it is loaded, and email to you the day they pick up. Thank you again to all parties interested.
