This is a solid classic, with a clean and clear title. It has been fully inspected and serviced, including a brake fluid change. The tires are nearly new and show no signs of wear. Over $3000 spent on reconditioning. This car is "tight and right" for an 83 with 45,000 miles. The 1983 Porsche 944 was everything that the previous 924 should have been. Introduced in May of 1982, the 944 gained instant success. The first 944s were 1983 models. They came with a 2.5 liter inline 4 cylinder motor. The chassis and body shell were from the 924, but the new model had flared fenders, a rear spoiler, and a front air dam. Everything that was flawed in the 924, such as inadequate driving space between the seat and steering wheel, was corrected in the 944. A special balance shaft design was used on the 944 to keep the noise level and shaking down, which were problems on the 924. 2.5L 4 cylinder fuel injected Engine with 143 Horse Power. This car is looks and runs just like you'd expect for 45000 original miles. Shop inspected and front line ready. Original Factory Window sticker, manuals, shop manual, extra keys and alarm key. This car came standard with four wheel vented disc brakes, Air conditioning, rack and pinion steering, Tilt removable sunroof, Power Windows and more. Factory options on this model included; Leather Sport Seats, Leather covered steering wheel, Protective side moldings, Rear Window Wiper, Anti theft Device for wheels, Tinted Windshield. The Stereo was upgraded and a Garmin Alarm system was installed. Everything on this car is in working order. The original tire pump was lost and it has a manual pump for the spare (they come deflated).The overall exterior is in very good condition, as is the interior. There are a few exterior (very minor) scuffs but nothing that will really show up in pictures. The Dash has a few minor cracks (covered by a dash mat) and two plastic clips that hold the sun visors in place are missing. There is some slight wear on outboard edge of the drivers seat (ribbing) that is hard to see. The rest of the interior is an 8.5 (on a 10 point scale).
