Up for bid is a 2000 BMW 740iL, got this car in trade and I don't necessarily like dealing with BMW's as I'm a Buy Here Pay Here lot and try to keep my inventory simple. Don't know much about beamers and I don't have a mechanic who know's much either so my loss is your gain. I know the vehicle has some issues, ABS light is on, as well as brake light and the caution light is also on. No check engine, which is good. Car seems to need an ABS module since the emergency brakes disengage while in park. I usually test out my vehicles on a 70 mile run before I put them on the lot but due to the ABS problem I would rather not push it. Car cranks and runs, not sure of the status of tranny since I couldn't put the pedal down due to the e-brakes, however, tranny shifted great at low speeds. Also the odometer seems to be stuck, it is marking 107514 but title says 107632 as of 09/24/2010 so mileage should be between 107,632k and 115,000k. Instrument cluster or speed sensors need replacement as speedometer doesn't mark speed, but RPM's measures as well as fuel level. Interior is so so, carpets are great, front seats not so much. No tears in them, but they need to be professionally dyed. Back seats are great, and the plastic seat bezzel on the driver side needs replacement (All seats functions work though) The good: Good paint Minor dings Carpet in excellent condition Back seats in great condition No tears in any seats Runs Great, Great Price Clean Title No taxes, fee's, etc. The bad: Multiple issues but nothing extremely major, could be fixed to new with few hundred or a thousand bucks.
