You are bidding on a very nice, used, 1984 Mercedes Benz 380 SL convertible with both tops. This vehicle has a smooth running 8 cylinder engine wiht a little less than 118,000 miles on it. There is no oil use. The emissions test is very close the original standard the engine had at its original production. The automobile still gets 17 mpg in the city and 22 mpb on the highway. The tires are in good/very good used condition. The tires are rated for the top speed of the vehicle. The paint and body are very presentable and can be very easily restored to original condition if your prefer to do this. There are a few normal small dings and dents with very few scratches. The chrome is in excellent condition. The interior could use a thorough carpet cleaning and the left side of the drivers seat needs to be repaired (see photo). A local interior shop states this is about a $150.00 repair. The climate control box needs to be attached to the wood grain dash cover and a bulb in the instrument cluster needs to be replaced so the turn signal indicator light will flash when in use. The gas guage level indicator is incorrect. The convertible top needs to be stiched in one small place to make it perfect but the top is in useable condition now. Included is the hardtop storage stand (see attached photo). There is no other known damage to this car. It is a good running car.
