Up for sale is this really nice 1962 Impala. Real good condition, no rust, garage kept, older paint job and has a few nicks due to driving but nothing major, very solid underneath, drives great and stops good also. Rebuilt the 283 engine and powerglide transmission about 3 years ago and installed a mild cam that sounds great especially with the brand new dual exhaust with flowmasters. I repainted the engine compartment when the engine was out and replaced all the glass rubber with exception of the front windshield as it is in good condition. There is one small bubble on the hood next to the hood emblem and the trunk only has very minor surface rust that just needs to be slightly sanded and repainted. Tires are all in very good condition. Chrome needs to be buffed out to make it really shine and the only bad piece I know of is the trunk panel has a small ding in it. I have had this car for six years now and my father had it for a couple of years before me. The person he purchased it from said it came from Lenoir NC and has always been a southern car. Interior is in real good condition and I did install seatbelts in the back for the kids and the rear dash cover is warped a little but this is just a piece of painted cardboard an easy fix.With a little bit of detailing this car would be a show winner or just do like me and enjoy taking it out for a sunday drive and enjoy all the people waving at you. Car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early. I do not know the actual mileage of the car but odometer shows around 37000 miles. George saw this in the picture of the driverside underbody. Thanks to George. This is a very easy fix and does not appear to go into the floor pan. Car is in great shape to be almost 50 years old. This is all I know without going over the car with a fine tooth comb and a microscope. With my low reserve I do not think you will find a better deal out there with a car in this good of a condition.On Mar-10-11 at 14:34:24 PST, seller added the following information: I added a few more pictures of the areas I was talking about as you can see these are very minor. I also took one of the hinge area of the drivers door so you can see how nice this area is. I also failed to mention that a new radiator was installed 3 years ago when I did the engine and also installed a new wiper motor along with a new firewall wiring harness. All electrical is good and the AM radio does not work. Both doors close wonderfully and all windows work good as well. Reserve has been met so car will be sold so do not bid if you have no intention of buying.
