Vehicle Detail

I'm selling this beautiful Mustang with blue metallic paint & black cloth interior. I no longer spend the time needed with this gorgeous classic. It sits in the garage for weeks at a time until I feel guilty and clean it up to drive for the weekend. I bought the car from a Mustang dealer in 2002 and was told the engine/transmission are original to the car. In 2005, I restored the outside body and had the engine, transmission and drive line rebuilt. The shop that bored the engine informed me it was a 302. The engine was painted with Duponts Chromalusion paint and looks really good when cleaned up. The transmission is a C4 & the rear end is original and has not been rebuilt. Exhaust has dual Flow Masters and has a sweet rumble. I changed the fuel tank to the larger size, for the long trips to the coast. Trunk is lined. Tail lights are retro fitted with LED lights. Gas cap is for a GT Mustang. The wheels are chrome with beauty trim rings and have Pirelli tires with a decent amount of tread left. I cleaned up some of the rust on the bottom and undercoated the compete underside. The prior owner replaced all 4 floor pans so I put sound deadening pads on the inside to help quiet the interior. The frame rails are solid; however, there is minimal rust in and around the wheel wells. I completely removed the rust from the engine compartment aprons, frame rails and radiator support. The upper body is rust free. Front brakes are disk and rear brakes are drum. I replaced the front suspension, rear leaf springs and all shocks. I had the power steering rebuilt and replaced the hoses. I have photos of the repairs for serious bidders. The hood is a deluxe hood with working turn signals. Repairs were done at a professional body shop by specialized technicians. As you can see in the photos, the finish is mirror like. Paint is 2004 Ford Mustang blue sprayed with DuPont paint and clear coated twice. The top and interior were replaced by the prior owner and are in great shape. The top has no holes or tears and works perfectly. The back window is plastic. All glass appears to be original with the FordCo logo etched in the glass. I had all the glass tinted. There are two latches that secure the top in place when in the up position. When the top is down there is a vinyl boot to cover it. I changed the front seats to a larger size with head rests. I reupholstered them in black fabric, so the summer sun didn't cook our legs. The center console is a slip in which can be removed without tools. It's a great addition with cup holders and a center console compartment. Stereo is a Sony AM/FM/CD with detachable face. I put in new kick panels below the dash that will allow speakers, and added an amp in the trunk. The antenna is power. The scuff plates in the door jambs are chrome with a pony logo that lights up when the doors open. I installed a proximity alarm so when the top is down you can still secure the car. I could go on and on, it is a great car that is fun to drive. Take a look at the photos, and if you have any questions, please ask. I am not posting the reserve; however, I had the car appraised in 2006 and I have set the reserve well below the appraised value. The buyer is responsible for all shipping after funds clear the bank. I will accept the following payments, Cashier's Check (certified from US or Canadian bank) or money order, PayPal (500.00 deposit only). Good luck and happy bidding. On Mar-02-11 at 09:47:08 PST, seller added the following information: The engine description may be incorrect. When I had the engine rebuilt they advised it was a 302. After several emails regarding weather it's a 302 or 289 I have not been able to conclusively determine the block is genuine 302 block. I know for a fact it is a V8 with a 4 barrel carb.
