Vehicle Detail
This is a very nice all original 1965 Plymount Barracuda. It has a 273 cid, 2 bbl carburetor engine. Automatic transmission, no power brakes and no power steering. Has 4 wheel drum brakes. AM radio that plays perfect and a good working heater. I purchased this car three years ago, on ebay, have had a lot of fun, and have taken several trips. Two of those trips to the Goodguys in Charlotte, NC (2009 and 2010). Round trip 420 miles and never had any issues. Have pictures on the track cruise. If you would like to see them, can be viewed at www.photosportsusa.com. The numbers for the 2009 are #26 and #47. The numbers for 2010 are #20 and #28. The gentleman that I purchased this vehicle from told me he was the second owner and given the condition of this car I see no reason to doubt him. Current milage is 17535 and I am sure the milage is not original and has rolled over one time. Things that I have done since I have owned it....I have installed new brake drums on the front, had the radiator removed and reconditioned, replaced the starter, new muffler and tail pipe, new set of Firestone white-wall tires, NOS front bumper. Bumper replaced due to weak chrome. In the Charleston, SC area there are many car shows and most of the time this car is the only Barracuda there and I have won several trophies with it. But keep in mind, this car is not a show car. It is a very nice all original 1965 Plymount Barracuda. The gentleman that I purchased it from told me the paint was around 20 yrs old. Paint is definitely not perfect but very presentable. The chrome on the outside door handles is weak. I have priced outside door handles on ebay and they are priced between $74-$120 per set. Every thing on this vehicle works. If I were to keep this car the only thing I would change would be the door handles. This is as close to a rust free '65 Barracuda that I think you will find. In the three years that I have owned it I have seen no evidence of rust repair. The only reason this car is for sale is I have owned it 3 yrs and I just want to get something different. If you look on the NADA classic car guide low retail is $6160, avg retail is $10,725, and high retail is $16,280. Look at the pictures and my description. In my opinion, this car is a average retail car but the reserve is much lower. If there are any questions, call Allen at 843-670-2069. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time due to car being for sale locally. Also, this car is sold as is with no warranty and any shipping charges will be at new owners expense. I require $500 at end of sale, paid by paypal or cashier's check. The rest within 7 days of sale. Car can be stored in my garage for up to 30 days at no charge.
