Very good reliable transportation car, was my daily driver until few months ago when I got a minivan for my family. I've owned for 10 years. Was owned by one family before me. I bought it at 157,000 miles. Has been well cared for with regular maintenance. Engine compression is strong, cruises very smoothly at 75-80 mph. Paint is original, see pics. Upholstery is okay, see pics. Dash has two small cracks, see pics. Car has several issues: 1) Transmission usually shift smoothly, but if you accelerate hard and turbo kicks in, it can hesitate before shifting from 2nd to 3rd (around 35-40 mph). I avoid this by accelerating slowly. This has existed since I have had the car and has not worsened. 2) Next issue is that I leave the key in the ignition when I turn the engine off and lock the car up (I keep the master key with me). I do this because sometimes it was hard to turn the key to start the car since the locking mechanism was old. Leaving the key in solves this problem and it never sticks or is hard to turn over or start. 3) Someone bumped into me at a stop sign about 6 mos ago. This bent the truck lid, see pics. I had the guy at the Costa Mesa Swap Meet who does paintless repairs work on it for $300. The trunk closes but is not water tight as it used to be. All rear lights work properly. See pics or come see in person since it's not perfect as it was before. There are other things not working like: the radio, AC (heater does work), a fuse burns out every few weeks and the horn won't work, the dash light is burned out, the glove box will not stay closed (see pics), the driver's seat has a tear and is getting old. There is a crease on the passenger side door. The sun roof works, but needs a little help to close (it does not leak). There is no reserve, I'm starting it at $100. On Mar-02-11 at 12:43:36 PST, seller added the following information: Drove the car 2 days ago and noticed the brakes squeaking. Had my mechanic check it out. He said rear rotors and pads have 15% wear left and were squeaking due to normal wear. Again, I want to encourage all who bid to arrange to drive it before bidding. No one has done this yet. I only need one day in advance to arrange a test drive. Car will be sold "As is". Please bid accordingly. Also, someone asked about oil use. I does leak about 4-5 drops of oil per night with no significant oil burning with use that I can notice. I have done oil changes every 5,000 miles since I bought it. I do not have records to document this, but it has been done. I do have a thick stack of records of any repairs done. Thanks, and good luck.
