Vehicle Detail

Boy here is a rare car. Selling for a friend a barn find 1965 Chrysler 300L convertible 1 of 440 built. 413 HP engine. Special order paint code 888 Daffodill, with a gold and black interior. Options include: power steering, brakes, top,am/fm radio with rear speaker, power rear antenna, heavy duty cooling, and sway bar,.Has been sitting 20-30 yrs. I changed the oil, fuel pump, spark plugs, and accelerator pump in the carb. I put in a good used distributor from one of my cars. Primed the oil pump. Hooked up an outboard gas tank, and she fired right up. Runs fantastic. A little loud since it needs exhaust. Moves in my yard, but of course needs a full brake over-haul. Does not include my GTX distributor, or my battery. Has its original hi-po dual point unit included, needing rebuilding. Should have belts, hoses and waterpump changed, as well as new plug wires. tires are old and dryrot, but hold air. Gas tank needs to be drained and flushed. The gas doesn't smell all that bad. I believe the tank is nice. Gas guage even works. This is a solid rust free car. What a great car to start with.Always stored under cover.I do not see any rot or rust anywhere. The floors look like new. Even the original carpet is decent. It looks like it was repainted and will need to be stripped and redone (some peeling and discoloration as shown in photos). The factory paint code plate is missing from under the hood. I have a copy of the IBM build card from Chrysler to verify all its info. It was sold new in Pennsylvania and spent most of its life there owned by a prominent Chrysler collector since 1978. At some point this car ran over a large object. The front crossmember has been pushed in significantly. The subframe should be replaced. The oil pan was also damaged. The oil pump was checked and primed before the engine started. Incidentally, the inside of the motor had no sludge or carbon at all. The drivegear slipped right out. Engine and trans have no leaks. Stored in my heated garage since the fall. This was originally a power window car. Someone removed the regulators and changed them to manual. All the factory wiring and relays are still there. Simply replace the regulators and switches and you are ready to go. I believe the switches are still in the console.Includes extra bucket seat and backrest as shown in the pictures, without tears. The front seat belts are missing.I love this car and would buy it, but I am out of room. Car has an open title signed by deceased owners wife with appropriate probate papers. Car is sold as is needing repairs to make it roadworthy. I have descibed it to the best of my ability. No warranty.I encourage all buyers to inspect it before purchase. Too many projects forces sale. Car is located in Northborough Massachusetts 01532. A $500 payment is due within 48 hrs of auction ending by Paypal, M/C or Visa. Balance must be paid in full with cash or certified funds before being picked up. Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements and costs. I will help however I can. Car must be removed within 3 weeks unless other arrangements are made. Please do not bid if you can't pay. Email with questions. Would be glad to speak to you to answer questions. Great deal on a rare big block Mopar convertible! On Feb-26-11 at 19:32:19 PST, seller added the following information: Someone emailed and asked about the windshield. It is not cracked, but has lots of scratches from items being stored on it. Also the speedometer shows 97000 not 92000. Feel free to call me if you have any other questions. Email me for my number. Jim
