This is a great chance to own a very rare piece of car history. If you know Ferrari 308’s, you know that Ferrari officially started making the GTS is 1978. However, Ferrari did make a few rare examples in 1977 and those cars are very sought after. The VIN will tell you that this car was one of the very early cars. Plus this car is the 4 carbed 8 barrel carburetor set-up … making it a collectable ... with less than 35k miles. The mechanics of the car are great. The tranny shifts perfect, the clutch is great, and the engine runs strong. The car does have cats on it right now, and I do have a second exhaust system with test pipes that go with the sale. The body is also in great shape with a clean history and no visible signs of any bodywork, rust, dents, etc… The interior is in great shape with no rips or tears in the dash or seats. The driver’s seat has some minor bolster wear, but nothing significant. All the gauges work (including the clock) and the window work like new. The AC is ice cold and all the light work fine. I do have some of the most recent service history and will included a car cover, original Jack tool kit/pouch, and some misc. parts with the sale.I had change the oil in Jan 2011 with synthetic oil, but because the cam seals do not like synthetic (oil seepage), I just changed it back to Castrol GTX 20-50 in Feb 2011. I also has the transmission oil changed (redline) in Feb 2011 Below is just some of the cars history for those of you that need to know what has been done in the last 5-6 years all done by Ferrari Technologies Nov 2009: Cam belts, Tensioner bearings, fuel hoses, AC, oil/filter, sealing washers, air filter, thermostat, breather hose, and adjusted carbs/jets, smog cert Jan 2008: Spark plugs, adjusted carbs/jetted, timing, oil/filters, smog cert Aug 2006: Fuel pump, filters hoses Nov 2005: Redo cat/exhaust system and get smog cert, window motors, alternator, oil/filters, flush brakes, repair heater fan I am selling because I want to change toys to something different … not sure what yet … maybe a newer Ferrari.
