Up for sale is a 1999 Subaru Legacy Limited 30th Anniversary Edition. All wheel drive. 163,386 Miles 2.5 Litre 4 Cylinder (24 mpg) Automatic Green Exterior with Gray and Black Interior. Two owners. I purchased this car from a family member at around 50,000 miles. Regular professional maintenance. No accidents. Heated mirrors, power windows/locks, aftermarket cd player, air conditioning, Tire tread at approximately 80%, heated seats, automatic, all wheel drive (great in snow/rain), averages 24 miles per gallon. The bad, please read carefully!:On February 14th the car began to overheat. Luckily I was close to a Subaru dealership and I pulled the car into the service department. After a $200 inspection, the dealership deemed that the head gasket had blown, causing oil to leak into the coolant system and therefore causing the car to overheat. Instead of repairing this car I purchased a new vehicle. This car has always been properly maintained, oil changes every three months, radiator flush's once a year, just had a detailing completed, etc. The only thing I needed to do (prior to the head gasket going) was to get an alignment done because it very slightly pulling to the left. The car was towed to my parent's ice cream shop where it sits until the new owner comes to pick it up. I apologize the car was not washed prior to taking these photos but I was not able to take it to a car wash in it's existing condition. I currently live in Philadelphia, PA therefore, I personally might not be there to hand over the title and keys but my father in law would be there instead to meet with the winning bidder. The car is located in Cairo, NY. In order to make the car perfect you will need to:Install new console light bulbs to illuminate the heated seat icons, driving icons, and temperature icons (fuses are good).Missing windshield wiper fluid cap under the hood.Scratches here and there, 3 or 4 small dents, the usual stuff for a twelve year old vehicle.And of course the new gasket and whatever else needed to get the oil to stop leaking into the coolant system. Due to contamination you will also need to have the coolant system flushed thoroughly but there are no leaks in the system as far as I could tell.This car was driven in Maryland most of it's life so there is very minimal rust. Car is still drive-able until the car begins to overheat, you probably have at maximum 30 minutes of driving time until you need to turn it off in order to allow it to cool down. However, I would highly recommend the buyer tows the car from my lot to a garage for immediate repair, as not to risk any further damage. This car is being sold "as is". There are no promises, warranties, or returns here. I do not want this car and wish to sell it because I have a new car now. Therefore, I am listing this car at auction for only $200 without a reserve.
