Offered for sale, nice 74 CR125. Looking to thin the herd, and put a few dollars into another project, so here is a good example of the first year elsinore 125 for your consideration. Bike was semi- restored a few years ago, by myself, with desire to make it correct looking, and visually good, but without spending a fortune. Most of the parts are original, but I have repainted the tank and body plastic. This is a nice paint job, using the correct colors, but is not flawless. I am not a professional, and do not claim to have given attention to every nut and bolt on the machine. In fact, I have not been into the motor, and do not know the bore of the cylinder and such. That being said, the bike runs well, with good compression. The trans shifts nicely, and the clutch action is good. Rear shocks are nearly new Redwings, and they dampen well. Original shocks will be included, but they do not dampen, and they have chain rash on the bodies. Front forks feel fine, and show only a couple of tiny rust pits. Wheel and hub assemblies are pretty good. Rear rim is scratched on chain side, and has one noticeable dent. Spokes are clean. Tires are practically new Michelin S12's. Chain and sprockets are usable, but not new. It would be fairly easy to put the bike into race-ready condition, but it is not totally sorted at this time. Main areas that need attention are swingarm bushings, and front brake shoes. Engine cases and cylinder fins are good, but there is damage where the chain de-railed at some point. The flat area where the engine numbers are supposed to be located has been damaged, and the numbers are not visible. I used a dremel to smooth the area, and then repainted. The area looks fine now, and is totally functional. No cracks or breaks into oil containing areas. I mention this area, as this case damage is common on these machines, but would be of issue if someone were looking to restore this bike to a pristine condition. I do not have the original airbox. Bike has a good sock-type Uni filter at this time. All and all, a very nice looking elsinore, that could be put into use without much work. Is rideable right now. Have closeup of the countershaft sprocket area where cases were damaged. Check my feedback, and you will see that I am an honest, realistic seller.
