Vehicle Detail
Beautiful, 1985.5 white Porsche 944 with less than 80,000 miles. I would put this car in the top 10% or maybe top 5% of any 944 out there. It's getting harder and harder to find a nice one with this few miles. The most important thing for me is to stay at 100% approval on ebay, so I'll give it to you straight with the bad first. The Bad:1. Feels like the heater is on all the time, and the A/C now mysteriously blows hot air. This is the only true problem with the car.2. When I changed to Mobile 1 0W40 full-synthetic, the engine developed a small oil leak. The worst part was that it leaked onto the exhaust and you could smell it. I took it to my mechanic and he said it was no big deal and should stop, which it did after about 500 miles. I've never had to add oil to the engine though. Never leaked with 20W50.3. Sometimes, the passenger side door lock is fidgety 4. Sometimes, water will leak around one spot in the rear glass. Hasn't leaked for a couple months though.5. Missing the cigarette lighter (but the socket works great for GPS or radar detector). The Good:1. Car is 100% stock.2. Everything works - intermittent wipers, rear defroster, power mirrors, power sunroof, rear hatch and hood, all lights...everything. (except the heater problem mentioned above)3. Car has current Virginia safety sticker. Safe to drive anywhere.4. New paint, brakes, tires, refurbished wheels. 5. New, hand-stitched leather dash. New leather seats. Carpet is beautiful. All-season Michelin floor mats. 6. Car feels tight and almost new. Excellent steering, brakes, shifter, clutch. 7. Great stereo with CD player. 8. I constantly get compliments on the car. Nobody believes it's 26 years old.9. I would get in this car and drive it cross-country today no problem. Fly to Ronald Reagan Airport and I'll pick you up. I'm selling because honestly, you have to be handy with a wrench to own an old car. Although it runs great and doesn't give me any problems, there's always little things to tinker with on any old car, and I'm just not good at tinkering. I'm selling it and buying something new. I'll take cash, cashier's check, money order. I'll even take the total amount via PayPal or credit card. Clear title in hand.
