Vehicle Detail

This is being re-listed at a reduced price after a week of interest but no formal offers. Guys, if you want to make an offer, ok, but please do it the Ebay way, not in an email. Maybe it's the weather that's holding things up. They don't get a whole lot better than this unless they have undergone full restoration. This is an original survivor that has been babied it's whole life. It's not a resto project. It's a beautifully kept and maintained car. It's definitely an investment grade automobile. Hard to find these? YES! This might be the car you have been waiting for. It's in beautiful original stock condition (exception--radial tires). It has the 170 cu. in. flathead engine and the 3 speed transmission with electric overdrive. The car has been held in dry country controlled storage most of it's life and it's in great shape. No rust or corrosion whatsoever, no accidents or body repairs,no unusual history at all. The motor was overhauled about 10 years ago, It had a very excellent original color paint job 6 years ago. That was the first repaint. It was the 2008 Hemmings Motor News 'Cars of the Fifties' calendar car, and also featured in a very nice 6 page article in Hemmings 'Classic Car' magazine. The car comes with all the original paperwork, calendar, magazine, etc. The link to the online condensed version of that article is here: http://www.hemmings.com/hcc/stories/2008/01/01/hmn_feature22.html While the car is in great condition, it's not perfect: the push button radio was rebuilt and soon after that, a bonehead put a new battery in backwards (the car is positive ground), and so the radio's power supply was damaged. It's not a big thing to repair. The windshield has a light wiper arc and a repaired rock chip. It's not too bad. The right rear window has a rock chip. The trunk has a minor ding down low that hardly shows. Those exceptions noted, everything else looks great and works well. The car starts, idles, runs, shifts, drives, handles, stops like it should. It has a good feel and it's as comfortable at 65-70 mph on a 200 mile highway trip as it is around town. It comes with a spare transmission (it doesn't need it). I have moved to a place with limited parking so I have no place to keep it anymore. I think this will make a fine addition to any collector/hobbyist/investors holdings. It is probably the best one of it's year and model out there. I have the car for sale locally, so if no accepted offer has been completed on Ebay, I reserve the right to cancel the listing to accommodate a local buyer. I have it listed somewhat below market value, but make an offer if you like. I'll entertain anything within the realm of reasonability. I can assist with shipping, but the cost of shipping will be the buyer's expense.
