Vehicle Detail

This is a good-looking, great-running Chrysler convertible. It started out its life as a Newport in 1969 but has been changed to look and act exactly like the very serious 300 Series. All badging, chrome, front and rear ends have been replaced with the elegant and sporty look of the 300 from that year. Both bumpers have been redone and look new, the car has been painted in the past 3 years with a very expensive paint job, I have seen a lot of mediocre paint jobs and this is not one of them., The motor has been upgraded to the monstrous and rare 440 cu. in. V-8. It even has some original 300 hubcaps that put the finishing touches to this car. It is equipped with a/c(WHICH BLOWS COLD AIR!!!) and the original am radio (extra one included) and it comes with the 300 chrome wheel trim that, when installed, will make this car stand out among all others. The top is electric and works flawlessly. The rear window is glass which is good as is all the glass around the car. The doors and windows fit tight and ALL gauges and lights work. The hideaway headlights look and work great!!! An added bonus is an automatic trunk release in the glove box. Of course all hoses, filters, starter and alternator have been replaced so that you can jump in and drive anywhere. The previous owner said he took it on long road trips with no problems at all so you can buy it fly in and drive it home with no problems . No rust issues on this car. Truthfully I just bought this car a few months ago with the intention of keeping it forever but with a newborn got a little over my head and need $$$. Obviously I am not that attached to this car yet but I am extremely sorry to see it go because I have owned about 10 classics and this is SUPER CLEAN and seems very reliable!!! You can give me a call at 402-740-6811 with any further questions and I can answer them the best I can but I am no car expert just like the looks of these classics. Lastly, I am not in a huge money crunch and will not be giving this car away by any means but my reserve is set below anything else you could find thats even close to as nice...... Thanks again and whoever wins the car ENJOYOn Feb-11-11 at 08:53:04 PST, seller added the following information: The auction has only been running for 12 hours and it seems the interest in this car is very high. I am truly trying to price it fair and so that I sell this first time, not looking to spend a lot of time on this as I am no car salesman. Anyway, I have been contacted by a few people asking what I would take to end the auction early so I just put a buy it now of $9200. Whoever buys this car is going to love it and i wouldn't feel the least bit bad about trying to get a lot more but just want to sell it. Keep the questions coming and I will answer the best I can. Thanks DrewOn Feb-11-11 at 19:53:55 PST, seller added the following information: I just lowered the buy it now to $8950 which I feel is a steal and would actually like to buy this car back from the buyer down the road. I have had a lot of questions and am trying to answer them as best I can but bottom like is this is an extremely clean car inside and out. For being 32 years old it is in unbelievable shape and I have sold a couple things on Ebay and have never had this much activity. There are almost 60 People watching this auction so i'm sure the car will sell and maybe for even more than the buy it now because once it hits the reserve the buy it now goes away. Once again let me know your questions and I can almost gaurantee you people out there are trying to get 15k to 20k for something thats not in this good of shape. On Feb-12-11 at 13:17:15 PST, seller added the following information: It looks like the reserve was just met but in the future if you have 0 feedback please contact me before bidding or I will cancel your bid. I have contacted the current high bidder and am waiting on a response or I will cancel the bid. I am trying to be honest in my description and am trying to actually sell the car, thats the reason i priced it the way I did but don't want someone to ruin the auction by bidding just to bid. Please bid to buy and enjoy the car. Thanks DrewOn Feb-12-11 at 15:44:00 PST, seller added the following information: I just cancelled the last bid and please don't bid on this car if you do not reside in the United States. I apologize for any inconvenience for this but there are too many scammers out there. Thanks I will cancel any bids that show a buyer outside the U SOn Feb-17-11 at 10:47:42 PST, seller added the following information: Well, it looks like the Chrysler is going to sell since the reserve has already been met. Just wanted anyone watching with any questions to call me at 402-740-6811 or if you want to come see the car. I have only had one person come to look at it and in his words "it exceeded his expectations of what he was expecting to see". He knew a lot more than I do about old cars and said that a lot of work was done right in restoring this car and a lot of $$ was spent. Bumpers look knew and all chrome is in really good shape, good paint job, good looking engine ect.. This car is not perfect but you will never find something this nice for anywhere close to this price, in my opinion. There are 105 people watching the auction now which blows my mind but I want whoever buys the car to be happy so please ask question or come and drive the car yourself. Thanks Drew
