1972 Honda CB

For Sale or Trade: This CB 450 has been in my family for more than 30 years. My dad was the second owner; I am the third and have had this bike since 1992. This bike has 7,813 miles that I can guarantee are all original miles as my dad, brothers and I put the majority of the miles on the bike. The frame, tank and side covers have been professionally repainted. The rear shocks, blinker ears, and fenders have been re-chromed and shine nice and bright. I received an email asking the condition of the fenders. First, they are the original fenders which have been re-chromed. They do not have any dings, dents, bends, twists, scrapes, gouges, etc. Nor have the fenders ever been repaired, dents removed, straightened, etc. They are as close to being "like new" as possible. The bike looks awesome for an almost 40 year old machine. The tires are new 4 years ago and have a total of 79 miles on them - no dry rot issues or concerns. The exhaust pipes, handle bars, and shift / brake levers are original to the bike - not re-chromed. The rims are original to the bike and have some light pitting spots - see picture for an example. The bike has NEVER been in an accident - the frame is perfect and straight. The seat was an aftermarket upgrade that my dad put on the bike in the late 1970's - it is not the original Honda seat. Everything works on the bike - all signals, lights, high / low beams, starter, etc. The pictures are from two different days – one day was overcast / cloudy and the other was very sunny. I provide both so you can examine and evaluate yourself. The bike runs smoothly and the engine is still tight and strong and will come with a new battery. Title is clear and I am in possession of the title. Payment is with certified bank check or cash at pickup. No PayPal accepted for this item. I was asked to add pictures of the speedometer / odometer and tach - see two new pictures above. To our friends in the U.K., thank you for your strong interest in the bike. I have been asked if I could locate a shipping crate and crate the bike for shipment. I do not have experience with crating motorcycles. If I somehow did a less than adequate job of strapping the bike down or securing the crate and it arrived to you damaged, we both would be very disappointed. So, I can't assume the responsibility of crating the bike for you. However, if you locate a shipping company with the right skills to crate and ship, I can arrange a day / time for them to pick up the bike once payment has cleared. I just want to protect both of us and I expect the shipping company would have insurance in the event of damage, etc. Also, it is supposed to be over 60 degrees this weekend and I plan to wash the bike to remove the dust accumulated during the past 4 months 0f storage. I will also drain any old gas, clean the petcock, add fresh gas and take it for a short ride (2 -3 miles) to re-check everything. Any other questions please let me know.
