My father bought this 1965 Fastback for me when I was 14 in Arizona. The car was built in San Jose, California. It was our "project" car. I drove it to school and to work for a few years. Then it was put in storage. It has not been registered since 1989. We put a rebuilt 302 in it and a C6 auto transmision. 302 has very few miles. It was in storage and just started and drove a little every now and then. She starts right up and sounds awesome! I backed it out of the garage, removed some parts inside and in the truck, rinsed it off and took pictures. Only minor surface rust here and there, with this being a southwest car, there are no quarter panels or floor-boards to repair or replace. Below are some things over the years we have done to the car. -302 V8-Auto C6-Shocks-Brakes-Tires (2 years ago)-Dual exhaust-New fuel tank (recent)-New windshield -do have chrome molding (recent)-New front and rear valances (not installed)-New headliner (years ago)-New dash -New carpet (although drivers floor has some damage)-New door panels (not installed) I have always loved the old Cragar Rocket Rims on it. They have been on the car since I got it. They are extremely hard to find now (old ones). The body is in good shape. I have just about all of the parts. This is a wonderful project car. My prayer is that someone will purchase it and restore her like my dad and were going to do. With him gone now, I just do not see me finishing it. I would really appreciate some pictures of it if you decide this is the project car for you. I will happily answer any questions, or take requested photos. Bottom-line is it is an extremely solid car with no rust panels to replace! Buyer may pick-up or pay to ship. $1000 deposit within 24 hours of winning bid please. One is of the inside rear truck quarter panel (towards the bottom). The other is of the rocker panel. When I state No Rust, please realize I mean no serious rust requiring panel replacement or repair. Of course there is some surface rust here and there.
