My wife and I have owned this Eclipse for approximately 7 years and until we got a new vehicle a couple months ago it was my wifes daily driver. . The car drives very well, but could use some TLC. I've done my best to fully detail any issues below in the "bad" section. Overall the car make a nice vehicle that can be used as a daily driver or a sunny whether convertible. The Good: Fun in the sun Car drives very smooth Engine runs well Does not burn any oil No vibrations. Newish alpine stereo and polk speakers sound very nice Tires are in great condition. They have about 20k miles on them. but should have lots of life left. Great looking stock aluminum alloy wheels All regular maintence has been performed including but not limited to oil changes every 3k - 5k miles and tire rotations. A/C blows ice cold The Bad: Power Door Locks and power antenna don't work The factory alarm goes off randomly flashing the lights and honking the horn. I removed the horn fuse and if you turn the headlights on they stop flashing. The horn doesn't work (no fuse!) The backlight in the center console went out so it is difficult to see the A/C controls at night (until you get a feel for the switches) The convertible top goes up and down but you have to be a little careful or it will bind. Additionally, if you don't get it closed just right it'll leak a tiny bit. Something under the hood or in the engine makes a vibrating noise above 5k rpm.. It's done this for a few years now so I don't think it is a major concern. The clearcoat on the paint is coming off. This can be seen in a lot of the pictures. My wife cracked the front bumper a few weeks ago (can be seen in the pictures). I am going to use a strip of steel and some apoxy to at least make it difficult to notice but it won't be perfect. I've tried to be as straightforward as possible regarding the condition of the car. It is not a new car, but overall it does drive extremely well. Additional pictures can be found at the link below.
