Hi , Up for auction is a very clean rust free rare 2 door Jeep Cherokee Chief Laredo model 17 wide track . It has original paint ! It even has the white crayon writing on the frame and on other places during the trucks build . It has the 360 5.9 V-8 , 727 auto trans and the factory part time 208 transfercase . It is fully loaded for the day , with a factory removable sunroof , cruise control , tilt wheel , rear window defrost , power rear window , power front seat , rare original front grill gaurd , fog lamps ,tow package , light group , and vanity mirror . Of course , power steering , power brakes (front disc , rear drum) and air conditioner , track lock posi rear end with the 3.31 ratio . I am sure there are other things I forgot . Ok , to the Jeep ; I bought this truck as a project to install a lift on and install a Jeep 401 engine in . Things change . It came with a rebuilt original 360 engine which has less than 1000 miles on . The 727 auto trans has been recently serviced , and shifts crisp . It has no odd noises in the drive train . The rear window works from inside and outside . The tilt wheel is very tight without play . It has the factory Jeep manual locking hubs and newer brakes up front , and even has the original tailpipe ! It has a clean title,and comes with the original owners manual . It may be one of the cleanest originals left ! The issues , The headliner is starting to come down , the rear gate rattles , the dash pad has a few cracks , the drivers seat material is ripped , the original paint , while in very nice original condition , has several (small) chips as seen in the pics , the new heater core will need to installed . I have it , and will try to get it installed before it is picked up. The radio is dead . No , I did not get any paperwork on the jeep and the engine . It was the lack of coffee.............Yes,there is a spare tire and wheel,yes,the factory jack is shown IN the white factory bag. It is located in the RH rear quarter panel. yes,it has a 2 inch tow hitch,factory.Yes,title is clear and in hand. No,I have not installed the heater core yet. The tires are a few years old,and have 1/2 the tread left. all the lights and gauges work. As do the window,locks. The A/C will need a recharge,it is still the R12 I think. It cycles,but is not COLD. No,have not seen any leaks from the sunroof area.Yes,I have the bag for the sunroof,its black,I dont think its the original bag.
