In the tradition of those wild customs of the 60's and 70's came the inspiration for this 1937 chevy truck called "PICKED-UP". With its distinctive lifting bed, floating rear fenders, one of a kind rear-end housing, metal flaked motor, flaked frame and lime gold flaked body, a pickup that combines some unconventional design with traditional hotrodding. ENGINE: 355ci sbc mid 70's 4 bolt main block 327 - 300hp cam wieand 2x4 tunnel ram intake dual 600 holleys vintage Mallory Maglite distributor vintage factory vette valve covers fender well headers less than 3000 miles on motor since rebuild 2yrs. ago TRANS: 350 thm TCI street fighter 350 slightly higher than stock converter lokar shifter dual remote coolers w/ electric fan FRAME/SUSPENSION original 37 frame modified - uniqely boxed from the cab back - black w/ multi colored flake new drop front axle new mono front spring w/ chrome shocks adjustable coil-overs rear REAR HOUSING custom fabricated housing uses chrysler 8 3/4 sure grip (posi) center new yukon axles new - bearings, finned drums, brakes etc... triangulated four link This truck is very streetable even with the tunnel ram setup- the 2-4bbls have been set to run like 2-2bbls, still more than enough power with way better mileage. Starts quickly, idles smoothly not tempermental, the smoothest tunnel ram equipped motor I have ever driven, very responsive even at low rpm's. The carbs can be reset to full capacity in minutes if desired. The motor runs 150 - 165 temp, might reach 180 on a hot day, rarely use the aux. electric cooling fans.
