Vehicle Detail
Good classic buy with moderate needs; right in the middle between everyday ride and car show project--you choose. Car was previously an everyday ride up until spring of 2010 for 5+years. I purchased it in 2001 from the original owner in Alabama. The main issue with the car is exterior rust in some spots, in that it has been kept outside for a number of years. However, as the pictures show, it isn't too bad that diligent restoration work can't fix. Car has the original AM only factory radio, and original rallye wheels. I just recently purchased new belts, upper and lower radiator hoses, and the carburetor is about 4+years old. Also had some rear springs put on it about a year ago. Has over 120,000 miles on it; although I haven't drove it since July 2010, I crank it up from time to time. It has been suggested to me from my mechanic that it could use an electronic starter system to replace the points and the carburetor; One of my recent issues with it has been that since it sits on an incline, due to the gas tank being at the rear, the gas sometimes has trouble making it to the carburetor to start up right away. So I sometimes have to play with it a little before it starts. All of my points aren't firing right, either, so the car doesn't have the power that it once had. Car needs some interior work as well, especially on the headliner and drivers side seat bottom, which is mainly due to normal wear and tear, as you see on the pictures. So--I invite you to have a look and if you are still interested after checking it out, feel free to give me a call or email. I have one request, however, and that is that for the sake of decency, only serious inquiries only! Thank you! Marvin 404-906-9791/mtwooley@yahoo.com
