1988 Volkswagen Vanagon GL Wolfsburg Edition Weekender Camper in great condition. It has had only two owners since new and the current registered owners have owned it since 1993. Its in beautiful shape and runs and drives great. This is the Weekender Camper model with seven seats (two facing backwards). They were converted by Westfalia, but don't have the "pop top". It has a table that pops out in back, and the back seat folds into a bed. The original mattress that covers the engine compartment is in the back as well as two of the original snap in curtains. There are two plastic package trays that snap in behind the front seats. The van comes with a folder full of service reciepts going back to when it was new. Im not going to go into detail, but its obvious that the van was loved and cared for. It also comes with the owners manual package and original purchase contract from 1988. It was bought new in Santa Barbara, California and stayed there until recently. The original AM/FM/Cassette stereo is in the dash and still works. We just smogged the van, so its ready to transfer title. The front bumper has a crack down the middle (see picture). The seats have some slight staining, but are not ripped. The odometer has the typical problem where they get stuck. I did run a Carfax on the van and it was working the last time it was smogged in 2008, when the odometer was at 134,468. At the previous smog in 2006 the odometer was at 132,554. The odometer is now stuck at 134,730, and I don't believe it has many more miles that that on it. The Carfax is clean on the van. The top of the roof has some oxidation in the paint (see picture). The shocks that hold up the rear door are not holding it up. This is a common problem and you can order a kit to replace them. Overall its a very clean Vanagon that any VW fan would be proud to own. Vehicle is sold by NoHo Scooters, INC., and licensed dealer. California buyers will have to pay sales tax, registration, $15 title transfer fee, $55 doc fee, $60 smog fee, and $8.25 for smog certificate. Out of state buyers shipping via bonded carrier don't have to pay the sales tax, registration, and title transfer fees. We are open 11-6 Tuesday-Saturday to show the car.
