Vehicle Detail

1970 Pontiac Firebird. 350 Chevrolet/ Turbo 350 3 speed automatic. The car was originally a Pontiac 350/ Turbo 350. Power brakes, power steering, and cd player. Road Demon carburetor, Edelbrock intake, headers, and dual flowmaster mufflers with all new pipes. The vehicle runs and drives good. The Goodwrench 350 crate engine has less than 1000 miles on it. At the same time the engine was replaced, the Turbo 350 transmission was rebuilt with a shift kit. It has an open rear end, and an unknown gear in it, presumably the original. I had planned on putting a posi in it and probably a 3:42 gear. It has new brakes all the way around, new steering box, new tie rod ends, pitman arm, a frame bushings, sway bar bushings, balljoints, shocks, etc. The front end is very tight. The body is pretty well rust free. At some point it had new quarters installed. It also has new door hinges. All the floors, frame, quarters, fenders, doors, and trunk pan are good. There are a few rust bubbles here and there, but they look like they came about from scratches in the paint that were not touched up. The paint is a poor quality repaint. It looks presentable from 10 feet, but should really be redone. I wanted to paint it back the original gold color, but to make it look reasonable the interior would have to be redone again in the original black color. The interior has been reupholstered in black vinyl and cloth two tone with red piping. The door panels are new, but the driver side is warped and doesn't fit properly. The dash has a cap on it and looks decent. The carpet is new. The center console is a little rough and is missing some pieces. It was originally an ac car, but the previous owner had removed all the hvac stuff. He did save it all except the ac components which were not with the car when he got it. Also the radio doesn't work. It lights up, but I can't get any sound to come out. I have not investigated any further as I like to listen to the exhaust when I drive it. All in all, a decent car that has great potential. Not a rust bucket like a lot of these cars are. I would consider it a running, driving project that would make a great weekend cruiser with a little tlc. Included with the sale is a set of original Pontiac Rally wheels that are in good shape. I don't have the trim rings or center caps for them. Also a couple boxes of parts that came with the car when I got it. There are various pieces like turn signal buckets for the front, seat belt parts, door hinges, door panel components, hvac parts, etc. I have described the car to the best of my ability and have made no attempt to hide anything from the prospective buyer. It is the buyers responsibility to inspect the vehicle prior to bidding, not when the car is delivered. The car is sold in as is condition with no warranty expressed or implied. Clean NC title. Free delivery within 500 miles of central NC, further distances can be negotiated. May consider interesting trades. Cash in person only, no money orders, iou's, third party out of state post dated starter checks, etc. Call, text, or email Sharif for any questions at 919-697-7262
