Nice 1989 Ford F150 4x2 with a 460 cubic inch engine up for sale. This truck was a project truck that my son and I have worked on, but he has now bought another truck so it is time for this one to go. There are many custom parts and I will describe them here as thoroughly as possible. If you have any questions about this truck, please contact me! I will answer all questions to the best of my ability. We've had the truck for 3 years. It originally had a six cylinder engine that was frozen up, but we swapped in a used 1983 460 cubic inch 8 cylinder engine. Truck was originally a work truck used by an electrician. Engine Details: Edelbrock 750 4 barrel carburetor Edelbrock RPM aluminum intake Stock D3E iron heads (95cc Combustion Chamber) Summit Racing Electronic Ignition New Accel Coil and Spark Plug Wires Holley High Performance Mechanical Fuel Pump Rebuilt Alternator Rebuilt Power Steering Pump 14"x4" Round K&N Air Filter Hedman Headers Dual Flowmaster 40 series mufflers (Loud, but not too loud, and sound awesome!) New 3 Core Radiator and Fan Shroud (Never gets above 195 degrees even in August) 180 degree thermostat Transmission: Completely Rebuilt C6 Transmission with less than 3,000 miles Deep transmission pan Heavy Duty Transmission Cooler Lift: Superlift 6" lift Steering Stabilizer Rear End: F350 10.25" Rear End with new bearings and seals 5.13 Rear Gears Brand New Eaton Posi-Trac Limited Slip Differential(2010) Drum Brakes Wheels/Tires Rear: 305/75R16 Remington Mud Brutes 35" Front: 33x12.50x15 Remington Mud Brutes Tires were purchased spring of 2010 and have at least 80% tread left on themWheels are stock 15" front and stock 16" rear Brakes: Front: Disk (New pads in 2010) Rear: Drum Brakes work very well Body: Exterior was completely sanded, primed and painted this fall (2010) Painted 2 coats with Valspar Tractor Paint with Hardener (International Harvester Red) - Can be purchased at any Tractor and Supply or online for touch ups and repairs Rust above rear wheel wells on both sides was repaired All body work and paint was done by us and looks really good from 15 feet! Paint has some orange peel in places, but overall looks very nice and will protect the exterior for many years to come. Interior: Replaced bench seat with nice bucket seats from a 1992-1996 model Lariat. Nice center console/jump seat Red internal lights New tachometer mounted on top of dash New Water temperature gauge Sliding rear window Areas still needing work: Engine has unknown mileage. It starts and runs great, and we have had zero problems with it, but I believe it to be a high mileage engine in need of a rebuild. We have done frequent oil changes and use STP oil treatment whenever we change the oil. We use 20W50 in the summer and 15W40 in the winter. Oil pressure is consistent. Mileage on the truck reflects mileage on the frame and chassis, not the engine. Mileage on the engine is not known. Driver side rear shock mount needs replacing. It broke off and a new one needs to be welded on - Universal shock mounts cost $15.95 plus the labor to weld it on if you can't weld. Can be done at any muffler shop. If you live in a state with strict emission controls, please research these as this truck will most likely not pass emissions in those states. Buyer is responsible for insuring that the truck can be titled in your state. Windshield has a crack near the top of the windshield, but is mostly hidden by the Moroso sticker.
