All Parts I have bought For Comet: Mustang II front suspension(NEW) includes disc brake & rack/pinion steering (installed) Rear leaf springs(NEW) (installed) Fiberglass fuel tank with sending unit(NEW) from Crites Restoration Front floor pans replaced Sub-frame connectors installed 8inch rearend rebuilt with 3:55 gears and an Auburn locking dif. (installed) Red seat belts(NEW) Steering collar for floor shift Good used front valance Good used right front fender ext. (headlamp bezel) Good used hood trim piece Good used hood latch(excellent shape) Parts needed for Comet: Front seats (really, whole interior is gone) I do have back seats and they look rough. Transmission (and any parts related) Rear brakes brake lines, fuel lines Side mirror Tries and wheels engine** driveshaft This is one of those projects I started and couldnt finish. The car was complete and running when i bought it. Yes, the car is in pieces right now. Originally a 6 cyl, I have done everything needed to convert to v8. Front and rear suspension is all brand new and ready to go. Rearend has been rebuilt by CATT in springfield Mo. After having front floor pans replaced and sub-frame connectors installed, I cleaned and undercoated front to back so it wouldnt rust while it sat. That's where I pretty much stopped. The mustang ll front end is all installed except for motor mounts. You have to have an engine and tranny to mark it and they have to be welded. I didnt have either at the time of install. Primer spots on the car were there when I got it. Not sure why. I have had no body work done to the car aside from floor pans. Small spots of rot at bottom of both quarter(see pics). Aside from that, body is very straight and appears to have not been wrecked. Doors line up well and fender are in great shape. The only damage I found was in front. It looked like someone try to to pull it with something stupid and messed up front bumper and valance behind bumper. I have a nice replacment valance. Bumper still needs work. Glass is decent. Front windshield has crack. Fuel tank was purchased brand new from Crites Restoration. It's fiberglass and includes sending unit. All stock dimensions. I have no wheels to move the car so if you have some 5 lug for ford, you might want to bring'm. Sorry. The wheels on back are not mine. CAR WILL NEED TO BE TOWED. Anything in the garage that came off the car is included. NOT INCLUDED in the auction is a 289 engine. Engine was pulled from another 65 Comet. Thats as close to original as it gets. I'm leaving it optional incase someone wants to make this a big block car. If one wanted, due to the front end conversion, you put anything up to 460 in it. If you are interesed in the 289, we'll talk after auction. Car is located in Billings MO. Thats about 20 min west of where I live in Springfield. scott-casteel@hotmail.com 417-459-8940On Jan-24-11 at 13:58:41 PST, seller added the following information: All Parts I have bought For Comet: Mustang II front suspension(NEW) includes disc brake & rack/pinion steering (installed) Rear leaf springs(NEW) (installed) Fiberglass fuel tank with sending unit(NEW) from Crites Restoration Front floor pans replaced Sub-frame connectors installed 8inch rearend rebuilt with 3:55 gears and an Auburn locking dif.
