1979 Mercury Marquis one family owned since 1985,car has mostly been garaged the entire time,overall clean,non-smoker car.Interior is very clean,exterior good ,no cracked glass,no major dents and no body rot.Odometer shows 6,000 and I cannot be sure that the miles are 106,000 so I have shown miles as unknown. I would say that the general condition would make 106,000 believable.It will make good basic transportation for someone.Small 305 V8 starts and runs well.engine does not smoke or knock.transmission shifts well.Brakes are good and tires have about 95% of tread remaining.The car has been driven very little over the last year due to death of owner but starts right up after sitting for weeks at a time.Overall the car gives a good original appearance,with interesting original multi-color paint and very nice vinyl top.Trunk is very clean and dry, no tears or heavy wear showing on the seats or door panels.There is a power steering leak,it is not pouring fluid but there is a slow leak.For some reason the clock had been removed,the belt is off the A/C compressor.Radio and lights etc. all work as far as I know.The car could possibly benefit from a general tuning,and oil change etc, but is driveable as is. I am willing to sell the car very reasonably because I need to remove it from it's garage and I do not need it to drive,since inheriting it.I would just like to see it go to someone who needs transportation,and has the ability to maintain and repair it as needed.It is not in flawless original condition but very presentable and useable with usual small scratches and flaws but I would say above average for most cars it's age.I am selling the car as is and where is,I do not have any additional photos. I do not want to take any trades.I can store the car inside for up to 30 days after the end of the auction once full payment is received to allow time to arrange pick up etc. if needed.I have the Georgia Title and will provide a Georgia Bill Of Sale.If you bid please be prepared to complete the transaction.Remember this is a 32 year old car I would like to simply sell the car to someone who wants and needs it and since the price is so low I cannot spend allot of time with tire kicking and drama.
