Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on an all original 914-6 with all matching numbers. It will come with the Certificate of Authenticity and the original dealer books and manuals. I purchased the car several years ago from the original owner, at which time I started a complete restoration. I have over $41,000.00 into the restoration, however, I am now ONLY selling the complete body, engine, and transmission. The following will also be included in this sale as they are still attached to the body: wiring harness, suspension, brakes, steering system minus the steering wheel, and the original steel rims with the stainless Porsche hub caps. I will show a photo of the car when it was complete and photo's of how it currently sits. The engine number is 6404478, the original color is Irish (Forest) Green # 1510 & the original interior color is Russet leatherette #21. The roller will need body work and rust repair to the following area's: The lower passenger firewall, passenger engine shelf, battery tray, battery bracket, and both jack points. There is no rust anywhere else as the car has been in a heated garage for over 32 years. In fact, the last time the car was on the road, was in 1979. The New York State inspection and registration stickers are still on the windshield. A photo of this is also included. The car currently sits in my custom home garage which is heated/ air-conditioned and the car is covered. It sits along side my 914-6 and a 912. I currently own (2) other all original and complete 914-6's. I love the 914-6 and understand the value due to it's rarity and fact that so many do not have the matching numbers and/or history. This is an opportunity for someone to own a six with all the most valuable components. I have had offers as high as $32,500 for the complete car including all the restored parts, however, this was below my reserve and not worth me parting with it. If someone were interested in the entire six with every component, (mostly restored and/or replaced) I would consider offers over $32,500.00. I am not interested in partial interest. This listing will only be sold with the described parts or as a complete car (in parts). As this offer is for a roller of a very rare model, I expect many questions. I would recommend that you send me your e-mail addresses so that I can send more detailed photo's and all requested additional information. On Jan-21-11 at 05:43:28 PST, seller added the following information: I have many requests for photos which have been sending and I would like to remind everyone that having your e-mail makes it much easier for me to send photos and more detailed descriptions. This auction will include the complete metal body , engine as shown in photos, (all original and matching) certificate of Authenticity from Porsche of America, owners manual, dealer books with serial numbers, all suspension, brakes, rims, hubcaps, original transmission, wiring harness and steering system from column back. Nothing else is included in this auction except what is listed. On Jan-22-11 at 11:41:02 PST, seller added the following information: Please note that I have posted six additional photos as I have been receiving many requests. I wanted to upload more, however, I am only permitted 24. The last six photos were taken today. They show the engine number on the case, the front interior, the rear interior with the rust on the passenger side, the engine shelf rust, the opposite engine compartment side, a shot looking through the front of the car. If anyone needs more photo's, please send me your e-mail. I am happy to send whatever information you may need and I prefer that you understand exactly what you are bidding on.
