1968 LeMans Blue Camaro, Mint!! For your consideration is a very clean 1968 Norwood built Camaro. It is a fairly original first generation Camaro that has been recently professionally restored. It has been well taken care of over the years and has faired extremely well, with no signs of rust or collisions. It will be sold with the original protecto plate and a large file of receipts and paperwork of work done on the car. The drive train: Non matching rebuilt 6 cylinder motor (with paperwork) in front of a rebuilt Powerglide Automatic transmission (with paperwork) and original 10 bolt rear end. The engine has low miles, runs very strong and has just been professionally tuned. Motor is completely stock and runs outstanding. The car rolls on the original GM 14" factory steel wheels with original poverty center caps and brand new firestone white wall tires. New drum brakes front and rear and front suspension has been gone through The exterior: Rare and desirable ‘UU’ paint code Le Mans blue, recently painted with a high quality base coat/clear coat paint job color sanded and polished to a deep and smooth shine. All chrome and trim work is in great condition either replaced or is good original condition. Door handles, glass moldings, wheel well moldings, and rocker moldings were in great original shape and were polished and re installed or replaced with new. All weather stripping was replaced. The interior: Stunning Medium blue standard interior with working after market gauges. Everything replaced or restored including steering wheel, dash pad, door panels, rare front bench seat, headliner, carpet, floor mats, visors, ETC. The front bench seat has a 2" seat extender for added leg room. If you are tall you will appreciate the comfort!There are also six, yes six original seat belts installed in this car. This Camaro seats six, a true family car! Everything works as it should down to the dome light and horn! Glove box works and locks. Non original AM/FM factory looking radio works through 6X9 speakers under a new package tray. This is a professional restoration and is an absolutely stunning car in great original looking condition. It is a solid driver and has been cosmetically and mechanically gone through to insure safe and reliable driving. You can get in this car and drive it with confidence. Worth Mentioning: As noted above the original GM warranty book with plate (protecto plate) comes with the car. The original dash and part of the cowl has been replaced with new sheet metal. There is an non original vin tag mounted in the correct location in the replaced dash. It looks great but is not original which did not bother me but may bother a potential buyer so I am disclosing it. It is likely that the dash and original vin got rusty at some point. All the metal work that was done looks very high quality and could be mistaken for factory original. It's a very clean and cool looking 68! Most people would have dropped a V8 into this car by now and added a rear spoiler and ralley wheels. If I had done this I probably would get more money out this listing but would not have a unique and original nostalgic looking Camaro that you don't see everyday. It's a non matching six cylinder so you could really do anything you wanted with this car, I just chose to keep it "old lady" style!!
