Vehicle Detail

This was the first luxury SUV I remember as a child sitting in the middle between my grandparents on the very comfortable bench seat. Of course those days and activities are frown upon, metal dashboard and all. This is a Jeep that belonged to some neighbors of my parents. It was garaged always except for the daily 5-mile drive to the local bar. She liked Harvey Wallbangers, he, Canadian Mist. There is absolutely no rust whatsoever. None. So many examples say EXCELLENT CONDITION, and then they show little rust on the rocker panels or behind the wheel wells. But there is NO RUST AT ALL. As you probably know, as the World's First Luxury SUV, it is chock full of accouterments. We're talking about 6-way adjustable electric leather seats. *** in fact*** This Jeep is like DRIVING YOUR COUCH DOWN THE STREET. The leather, perfect. No rips, no wear marks, and the corduroy inserts are a nice touch. I wish more cars followed this design touch. TALK ABOUT COMFORTABLE, ITS LIKE A SNUGGIE ON WHEELS!!! Power windows Power Sunroof A/C blows cold Includes factory installed tow package. and then there is the Engine 360 cubic inches of smooth AMC power. Transmission, TH400, smooth. It was recently brought to a mechanic and had a major tune up including replacing the water pump, filters, and hoses. The car also just passed emissions with great numbers which indicates that the hoses and seals are in great shape. And the best part, That rear window that rolls down, allowing you to drop the tail-gate. that's right...TAILGATERS!!! I'm in Portland OR this week, returning home to the Seattle area each tuesday and wednesday, driving it. If you offer me enough money, I would be happy to end the auction early. I'll deliver/drive it anywhere on the west coast for the low low price of $1 a mile + a one-way ticket home, plane or train. Honestly, this is a great vehicle. I am not a dealer, but a wine guy. However, I do know a thing about jeeps having owned a Scambler/CJ8 since 1990. Email me with questions and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. PS, no one has smoked in this vehicle, and never a pet has set a paw in it. On Jan-16-11 at 22:51:55 PST, seller added the following information: Wow, I just added some pics. Now listen up. I always go to the annual car show when it hits Portland each year. I'm always amazed at the difference between the paint jobs between cars. Example, the crappy cars (i.e., chevy Aveo) has so much orange peel that you can barely look at the reflection and see lights on the ceiling. Meanwhile, the Audi cars have such good paint, you can not only see the lights but the word Philips on the bulbs. Why am I yammering about this?? because look at the last photo. The paint is so high quality, that you can see amazing reflections. Thats how good the paint is. Not just on the sides, but the hood as well as the roof. On Jan-19-11 at 17:39:43 PST, seller added the following information: OK, It rained the other day here in the NW, I'm talking torrential downpour. IT WAS BIBLICAL RAINS!! Anyway, I noticed two things, the roof-rack was slightly loose in the rear driver's side. And (gasp) there was a rain stain on the headliner. Careful inspection let me know this must have happened before. Remember, the previous owner always garaged it. What was an honest Ebay seller to do?? I'll tell you. I went to Beaverton Auto Interiors on 114th for their advice. To get to the roof-rack nuts, the headliner had to come down. Down it came. All roof-rack plastic nuts were replaced with a soft silicone washer followed by Stainless Steel T-nuts. Plus they put in a brand new factory cloth headliner, even under the moon-roof cover. They did a great job, rack is good for another 40 years without leaking, and the new headliner, well, looks just like the previous headliner. Also, I stopped by the local car stereo store, seems only the right channel worked. The wires in the back had come loose. It doesn't exactly crank, but boy-howdy does Splendid Table on NPR sound great. That's what I got for now. Hoping that guy in MT buys it, I love a good road trip. On Jan-22-11 at 01:02:52 PST, seller added the following information: Alrighty then. Coming up on less then 12 hours until the auction ends, so this is my last chance to talk to you. This last week has been a hell of a lot of fun driving this handsome beast of an SUV. If you need me to send you copies of the passing score sheet form the DEQ of Washington state, let me know your fax number. If you need a photo of the engine bay and or the underside, I can't do this until about 10AM Pacific Time Zone. It isn't enough to ask via ebay messaging, I need an actual email address. I will get it to you. If you live in LA, awesome. I have reason to go there this next week. Forget about the $1 per mile business, just pay for the gas and a trip home. My name is Robert, further questions, call me at 503-267-2800 and I'll do my best to answer them for you. As my friend said, "this Jeep is BIG PIMPIN'" Robert
