Up for bid is a dark blue 1985 FORD ¾ TON (F250) PICKUP - REGULAR CAB WITH PLOW. 8 FOOT BOX Odometer reads 04308. Probably is more like 104,308 but not sure. Motor runs really good Automatic transmission is good. Rear main was just replaced does not leak. Good tires 4 wheel drive works New gas tank(single). Has rebuilt Holly Carburetor on it (This was just done this year- 2011). Things needing repair: HAS NO WORKING BRAKES - NOT DRIVEABLE- NEEDS TO BE TRAILERED. Brakes: (prices are from the local parts store) front rotor on drivers side needs to be replaced cost: $75.00 pads for both sides needs to be replaced: $17.49 some brake lines in the rear along axle are bad they need to be replaced both directions Rear pumpkin gasket needs to be replaced, it leaks. Some areas of rust, mainly near wheelwells, but overall body is solid and Ford tough. Cracked windshield. Wipers don't work. May need new motor or switch. If just a switch, about $15 to fix PLOW - Good blade, pump needs some work, (PUMP - E-47) pump will need: (prices was from over Internet, from MEYER) "B" solenoid cost $84.89 - THIS IS A UNIT - (VALVE AND COIL). "C" solenoid cost $78.00 - THIS IS A UNIT - (VALVE AND COIL). wiper for main cylinder $2.58 Meyers Hydraulic Oil. $ dont know cost. The plow when moved to right or left sticks to either side. Checked with the Meyer Plow Company and they stated it needs the SOLENOID changed. Also need to put new hydraulic oil in when changing them. Internal screens should be cleaned also. Will include a free Meyer Plow parts/ sales catalog describing parts & costs. Conclusion: Overall this is a solid, hard working tough-as-nails truck. If you were looking for a dependable plow truck without spending a fortune this may be the opportunity you've been looking for.
