This jeep runs and is drivable. The Flat Head 4 cyclinder 60HP engine sounds good, the three speed hi-low transmission is good condition shifts out good with a strong clutch. The 4x4 works. The body is in good condition. I purchased this to do a full restoration, but we just finished doing a 1942 Willys MB and my wife is wanting to do a 1930's pickup instead. When I originally purchased this jeep the frame of the windshield had been cut and rewelded several times, and it had plexiglass, instead of actual glass. The windsheild that is on it now is off of a 1944 MB Willys. I purchased this willys off of an Air Force pilot who was shipping out. He said that he had started a restoration, The mileage on this vehicle is EXEMPT, since it is a 1947 we cannot tell how many miles are on it. The carburetor needs some work, I believe the float is sticking sometimes. Also the previous owner put an electric fuel pump on it, and it is sending too much gas to the caburetor. Both problems are an easy fix, I just like to be upfront on everything. This is a 1947 model with a clear title, it is not street legal, but you could easily make it street legal.
