Vehicle Detail
Available is an adult-owned repairable 2002 Toyota Echo 4-door that was well maintained, and was my daily driver. This car got 40 MPG on the highway, and was a low maintenance vehicle that never let me down. This vehicle had a new set of tires in installed mid summer 2010. The oil was changed every 5000 miles, and has always had Castrol GTX motor oil since it was new. I am the second owner. The interior is in good shape with no damage to any of the seats. The interior has 2 sets of floor mats, a heavy-duty, weather resistant floor mats on top of the original deluxe Toyota Echo mats that came with it. I washed and waxed the car religiously. I loved the little Echo. The car was involved in a roll-over, the week before Christmas, in one of the first snow storms, causing the damage shown in the pictures. The driver swerved to avoid deer crossing the road and lost control on icy surface. The car spun, slid backwards into a ditch and very slowly rolled over onto its top. The air-bags DID NOT deploy, but the drivers window shattered and the windshield got crushed, as well as the drivers side mirror breaking off. The engine, and transmission functioned perfectly before the accident, and actually started up with no problem the next day. I drove the car home in this rolled-over condition, the engine ran good and the transmission shifted fine. The hood opens, and the doors open as well. The worst damage is concentrated on the drivers side door/roof area as pictured. I was told, after inquiring in depth with friends who are body shop guys, that the car would be a good candidate for repair. I did not have collision coverage, as I dropped full-coverage insurance on my last renewal. The vehicle was paid for when I bought it, so the title is clear. I did not report the accident as no-one was personally injured. I paid some serious wrecker bills though out-of-pocket. This could become an excellent project for the right person. These Toyota cars are quality built. This Echo is great on gas, and a pleasure to drive. Everything worked fine, radio, heater, lights, wipers, and the car has never given me any problems. The car is to be sold as is. It will start right up. I drove it home in its present condition about 10 miles. The buyer/bidder will be responsible to pickup the car after placing the winning bid. I expect immediate payment. I am requiring a non-refundable downpayment of $250.00 within 24 hours of winning the auction. This can be paid via Paypal, or an overnight letter such as UPS Fed Ex or USPS. I prefer a smooth easy transfer, and will cooperate with buyer to help facilitate pickup. Actual transportation of the vehicle is completely the buyers responsibility. All questions must asked before bidding. I will reply to any legitimate question in a timely manner. The title will be transfered to the buyer/bidder as soon as the balance is paid. Car will easily drive onto a trailer or car hauler. I'm not interested in any drama, or haggling. If you plan on tire-kicking, then please do so by asking questions before placing your bid. I'm an honest guy, trying to sell a repairable car I have a clean title for. Your bid is your promise to buy the vehicle as is. I do not and will NOT OFFER ANY REFUNDS OR RETURNS, so please make sure this is what you want before you bid. If you want to talk to me via the phone, e-mail me your phone number and I'll call you.
