Vehicle Detail

PLEASE READ AND BE ABLE TO FOLLOW ALL DETAILS BELOW PRIOR TO BIDDING AND BE ABLE TO COMPLY, OR DO NOT BID !!!!!! HERE I GOT A FIRST YEAR PRODUCTION 1968 KO Z50 IN NICE SHAPE. IDENTIFIED BY VIN NUMBER Z50A-103777 MAKING IT A VERY EARLY ONE TOO. THEY RANGED IN VINS FROM 100001-120087. VINS ON ENGINES WERE NOT ALWAYS THE SAME, THEY WERE WITHIN A FEW HUNDRED DIGITS AND THIS IS AS WELL. ENGINE ID IS Z50AE 103817. THE BIKE WAS RESTORED ABOUT 20 YEARS AGO AND HAS SAT IN A LIVING ROOM FOR DISPALY EVER SINCE, TAKEN OUT TO RUN EVERY NOW AND THEN... THE BIKE RUNS EXCELLANT AND ENGINE INTERNALLY IS PRETY MUCH NEW BACK THEN.. THE ENGINE PURRS LIKE A KITTEN ONE OF THE ABSOLUTE QUIETEST ENGINES I EVER HEARD OUTA HUNDREDS OF BIKES. IF THE EXHAUST DIDNT MAKE SOUND YOU WOULDNT EVEN HEAR IT IT IS THAT SMOOTH. TRANNY SHIFTS GREAT TOO.. HAS ORIGINAL IGNITION SWITCH AND KEY. SEAT WAS REDONE AND IS PERFECT. EXHAUST LOOKS GREAT PAINT IS VERY NICE WITH A FEW CHIPS. GAS TANK IS DENT FREE AND LOOKS GREAT INSIDE. EMBLEMS ON TANK NICE. CHROME FENDERS HAVE SOME BLEMISHES AND NOT EVEN CERTAIN THEY ARE YEAR CORRECT ? TIRES ARE DRY AND COULD USE NEW. CHROME CHAIN GAURD NICE. ALSO AS YOU CAN SEE HAS VERY RARE SKID PLATE.. LEFT HANDLE BAR TWEAKED BACK A HAIR AND LEFT LEVER IS A RIGHT LEVER. THE ONLY THING MISSING I THINK IS THE AIRBOX. FRAME LLOKS GREAT NO WLEDS NOT OEM, FRONT STEERING STOP INTACT (USUALLY BROKE OFF) BIKE HAS NO LEAKS AND NO SMOKE. THE BIKE IS SUPER NICE I THINK FOR A 1968 THAT IS FOR SURE, NOT A SUPER HIGH END RESTORE FROM BACK THEN, BUT NICE AND THINK OF WHAT IT COULD BE BY TODAYS STANDARDS AND A FEW MINOR THINGS IT COULD USE TO BE PERFECT. AS YOU KNOW THIS FIRST YEAR OF THE Z50 DID NOT HAVE HEADLIGHT OR TAILLIGHTS. I HAVE A 1977 LISTED AND OWN A 1972 AS WELL AND HAVE LOTS OF PARTS AND I WANTED TO CHOOSE JUST ONE TO CHOOSE AND I CHOSE THE 1972 TO KEEP FOR MY COLLECTION, SO PASSING THIS BEAUTY ON DO NOT MISS A VERY FIRST , VERY NICE YEAR Z50 THAT HAS A TON OF POTENTAIL TO BE A PERFECT SHOW BIKE... LIKE I SAID THE BIKE RUNS VERY WELL AND SOUNDS GREAT.... PERFECT FOR A HIGHER END RESTORE WOULD NOT TAKE TOO MUCH. HAVE A VERY FAIR LOW RESERVE, BUT DONT NEED TO SELL, IF IT DONT MAKE RESERVE I WILL PUSH BACK IN CORNER AND SAVE IT FOR THE NEXT ONE I RESTORE........DO NOT MISS!!!!! SEE MY OTHER LISTINGS FOR A 1977 Z50 TOO.!!!!! AND A 1978 ATC 70 PRETTY NICE TOO JUST NEEDS A FEW MINOR THINGS. DEPOSIT PAYPAL ONLY WITHIN 24 HOURS, AND BIKE IS TO BE PICKED UP WITHIN 7 DAYS OF AUCTION'S END, IN MIDDLEBURG, PA 17842 (SNYDER COUNTY) THEN THE BALANCE PAID IN CASH ONLY WITHIN THE 7 DAYS. NO SHIPPING BY ME, UNLESS YOU MAKE ALL ARRANGEMENTS AND ALL I HAVE TO DO IS PUSH IT ON TRUCK THAT COMES HERE TO GET IT, WITHIN 2 WEEKS OR SO, I TRY TO WORK WITH PEOPLE , BUT BE REASONABLE ON YOUR END TOO. . MAKE YOUR PLANS PRIOR TO BIDDING SO IT IS ALL WORKED OUT. I AM NOT STORING BIKE FOR A MONTH LIKE I HAVE IN THE PAST IN THIS SITUATION. ALSO IN THIS CASE IF FROM OUTA STATE, BIKE WOULD NEED PAID FOR IN FULL THRU PAYPAL ONLY WITHIN 24 HRS.. IF YOU CAN NOT HAND ME CASH IN PERSON, THIS IS THE ONLY WAY I WILL DO IT DUE TO PRIOR SCAMMERS TRYING TO GIVE ME FAKE CASHIERS CHECKS AND SUCH.... SORRY TO YOU HONEST PEOPLE, NOTHING PERSONAL. NO TITLE, WILL GIVE BILL OF SALE IF DESIRED. FORGOT TO ADD LIKE I USUALLY DO AND MAKE CLEAR...IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN 5 POSITIVE BUYING TRNSACTIONS ON EBAY, YOU WILL NEED TO CONTACT ME THAT I CAN TRUST YOUR GOOD FOR IT BEFORE BIDDING OR I WILL JUST CANCEL YOUR BID. SORRY TO ALL THOSE HONEST PEOPLE, NOTHING PERSONAL JUST BEEN BURNED TOO MANY TIMES BY 0 FEEDBACK BIDDERS.... THANKS and as with any used item this is being sold as is used. no warranty or refunds after it leaves here. i can not see the future and niether can you so if something happens later down the road it is not my fault nor yours. had recent trouble out of hundreds of bikes i have sold with someone who expected alot more from a used item after they had a problem later on.,this was a first time and i am very honest with my descriptions, again most understand this with used items, he did not so i just wanted to mention. so be sure before you bid,if you want a brand new item then buy brand new item. thanks On Jan-09-11 at 19:28:49 PST, seller added the following information: one other little thing i forgot to mention but is pictured is the left triple tree bar mount has tiny crack in it still solid..... thanksOn Jan-10-11 at 07:40:39 PST, seller added the following information: wanted to add a tidbit of neat info on the more rarity of this model from a member who is a honda guru noted that the rear mount for the exhaust is what they call a slant gaurd where it is slanted where it mounts instead of parallel with the ground like the later 1968 models. he said only around the first 5,000 were made this way making it more desirable yet. just thought i would add, im sure some of you already knew this. i did not. thanksOn Jan-10-11 at 15:10:22 PST, seller added the following information: ok would like to add some more facts and things people keep questioning me on i think just cause they have not seen this or that and think that it is not right or oem... well the skid plate.. that may not be oem no but it is a are option that you just dont see, its not homemade. this has ignition switch , some say it shouldnt. again it has an original tab welded to frame that was not added so again it belongs. this also has which i may add better picture the very rare slanted to the rare with shape of frame left engine side cover, from my research there few are even known to exist. one person thought vin tag should be riveted to front neck..again no very early ones as this were stamped in frame at left rear axle mount. and the gas tank.. well thats in the air cause old honda microfische shows only one tank which yes looks like this but 2 differant emblems were available..these on bike and the round shaped ones. so again not clear but the tank decals, the ignition switch and such are shown on hondas microfische...not mine ya know i think they know what they built better than us !! also the very early 68 only had 1 hole in front fork tree since they did not have light or speedos..again only one hole in this one. all others had 2. also if it was a later frame it would have tabs welded on for battery box on frame..and it dont and not a spot like it did... i knew fenders were not right and such, but the fact is this a very nice true 1968 z50 that may need more to be exactly correct and perfect but the things mentioned here are right from any and all research...remember nobody knows everything and many options and variations existed back then so if it is not what you want or expect, it is simple dont bid. been some "real experts" that are making me feel like im lying or trying to pull a fast one here ?? it is what it is and just bid if its what you want ya know.... thanks alotOn Jan-10-11 at 16:10:18 PST, seller added the following information: added pic of rare slanted left engine side cover and stamped vin in rear frame even though its hard to see...thanks
