By bidding, you acknowledged that you have read and understand the whole thing!!!! 1995 Honda Del Sol S 4 speed Automatic transmission Power windows Power rear windshield History on this car: I bought this car for my kid about 2 years ago when it was approx 150k miles. He is away at college now and have not been using this car. For the past 3 month, I would just drive it to work like once a week. (100 miles round trip) Right after I bought it, I had my auto mech performed the following 1. change timing belt, water pump and drive belts. 2. Major tuned up, air filter, new spark plugs, new spark plug wires and etc. 3. New battery (no problem with the alternator all, I just wanted to have a peace of mind since my kid was gonna drive it) 4. 4 brand new tires. (Currently, there are still plenty of threads left). The car came with 17" rims from the previous owner. However, the thread is at min, and it makes the car look like (I'm a punk). So I put on 14" steel rims and 4, 185x70x14 new tires. (if you want the 17" rims, I will give them to you.) Then, about a year ago, the distributor died. So I had a brand new distributor put in. Not just cap and rotor, but a complete whole distributor. ($350+). I don't know why these little things cost so much. 5. Brand new front brake pads and rotors installed (6 months) ago. 6. The car was completely repainted ($850). I probably got ripped off here. The guy did a piss poor job. You can see lots of imperfection. But hey, looks good from 6 feet away. (I'm not kidding). Current Condition of the Car Let me start with the good things 1. All the lights and switches, fan blower, wiper and etc all works 2. The engine is running in great conditions. Always starts up easily and idles smoothly and runs great. 3. suspension, brakes and etc are all functioning normally. 4. The Roof comes off and on perfectly and fits in the truck perfectly. Not so good stuff. 1. auto transmission - The honda auto transmission for this time period has D4 and D3. The car runs fine in D3. However, when it is in D4, after it reached the 4th gear, it would still run just fine. However, as soon as you let go the gas, it will generate a horrible loud noise. It will go away, if you down swift to D3 or spend on the gas again while in D4. I have been able do the 100 miles round trip without any problem by driving it in D4 and as soon as I need to slow down, I would move it to D3, then move it back to D4 when I accelerate again. (I know, this is not ideal). Therefore, I would only suggest you purchase this car if you plan to rebuild or fix the transmission. Also, the transmission has a very slow leak. (I measured it, and it is currently leaking about 2 tablespoon a week.) 2. A dent on the passenager fender. The dent is only limited to the passenger fender. (my kid did this right before his high school grad). I suspect you can either have someone repair the dent or just replace it with a new passenger fender. 3. radio/cd player not working. After I changed the battery, it stops working. I don't have the original code. (this is the original honda cd player.) 4. The driver side door is not a pecfect sealed. It does not leak or anything. It's just not a 100% perfect seal. (I'm just trying to list out all the imperfections. 5. The passenger side rear view mirror house is kinda loose. It's still holds in place perfectly, but it's kinda loose when you touch it. Okay, that's about it. I am selling this car "AS IS", with no warranty of any kind. Please as questions.
