More than a barn find: This is a running 350 4 bolt main, automatic trans, ran great and was started each year since stored in 2005. Does need brake work to drive home (NO GURARANTEE). Body and new wood done in 89, this was the first of four I built over 23 years in the Auto Restoration business. This was the “shop truck” and would tow anything so it was put up wet it never let me down. The 650 carb (new last summer) runs rich with power connected to a rebuilt 350 turbo transmission. 1 ton suspension and dually rear is for that big truck look. Shorten the frame and you have a 4 wheel drive with plenty of ground clearance. If you want the ½ ton this body is the exact fit, you will need a frame from Progressive. A small diesel will fit under the hood if you put the radiator under the bed. Great for the 5th wheel trailer, if you want to let your freak flag fly build yourself that unique camper. Add the tanker for that “Hess Gasoline” appeal. Great starter to build you dream car will start and drive while work progresses, this is NOT a DEAD HORSE. LOCATED IN COLUIMBUS OHIO 43036. Please look at the roof, the eyebrow, and you will see welding need or replace the roof with one of 2 new ones you will own. The rocker also has a new replacement part ready for you to install. The paint and interior are up to you. The front brakes are drum type from a 70s chevy truck as is the cross member and could stand to be upgraded to disc. I have a flex hose for the front but needs a new metal nibble to bleed and seal pressure. All THE GOOD NEWS: Within a few short days of ownership you can be driving your truck around to get estimates and you can even haul your parts around while you thinking. No need to buy a new engine or trans for you budget build ½ ton frame. A running car makes the wife happy. All new parts are free.
