1980 Cadillac Seville Convertible By Global Coach of Orlando ,Florida. The car is an original 37000 mi car that was inherited by the owners daughter, she parked in a barn for about a year and a half,then she decided to sell it,however she could not get it started. She had a mechanic come to her house and he advised her to remove the throttle body injection unit and put a holly carburator on it,bad advise as he now had no way to connect the fuel return to the carburator, and as a result the car gets too much gas and blows white smoke in addition to lack power. The transmission shofts well and the car runs and drivrs, however you cant go far because it will run out of gas. I have the original injection uiit and a new fuel meter which I suspect was the origanal problem.Parts for the injection system are availqble on line. The good; the body is rust free and dent free the chrome is excellent the interior is very nice good top however the back window is fogged up,new tires and battery manually operated convertible top. Now the bad; it is missing the air cleaner and spare tire, the water pump is bad and the car has a short that wears the battery down after a few days, theren is surface rust on the front of the hood , see pics. It is a very nice car ,and an easy restoration, too little time and too many projects, and 79 years of age make it clear to me that i'll never get to it, I've owned it for 5 years and havent done it yet.
