Up for auction is a 1948 Willys Jeep pickup. I am selling this truck for my boss but I personally buy, sell and restore Civilian and Military willys jeeps and trucks so I know a lot about them. This willys is in extremely good condition with very few dents and no rust that I can see. The truck has the original flat head 4 cylinder motor, I did a tun up last year to it. I rebuilt the carburetor put new points, spark plugs, air filter ext.. I also put a new fuel pump in it. The motor runs great, does smoke a little blue smoke when you first start it. Has the original t-90 tranny and t-18 transfer case which shift through all the gears good. 4x4 works well also. All the glass is good with no cracks. The truck is in great shape and would be a great project to restore or something just to drive up in the woods. I had this truck listed about 3 or 4 months ago but had to take it off eBay before the auction was over, due to an error in the title. I went down to the shop where the willys truck is located and I was looking over the truck and happen to notice a little rust on the bed right in front of where the 5 gallon gas can is, There is not very much at all but I just wanted to point out that the brace for the bed does have some rust on it. but as far as the rest of the truck I cant find any.
