1997 Honda Civic EX * VTEC Motor & Rust Free * Up for auction is a beautiful 1997 Honda Civic Coupe (top of the line) EX model. It has the 1.6L VTEC engine and a 5-Speed Manual Transmission. I actually purchased this car with a broken timing belt. I welcomed the repair as I thought it would be a good time to just have the whole engine rebuilt. So, the engine is completely rebuilt and it runs outstanding. It is NOT a junkyard swap. The head is also rebuilt with new valves and a deck resurface. The car has really decent power to go along with great gas mileage. I wouldn't hesitate to hop in it and drive it anywhere you need to go! The body is super clean and there is absolutely no rust on this car at all. It was actually an Arizona car for a few years and that would probably explain why some of the clearcoat got baked off the hood. The exhaust apears to be solid, however you can sometimes hear a rattle noise from the exhaust/muffler at idle. The interior is clean and was very well maintained. Being an EX, it has all the stuff you want in there (Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Power Moonroof, Cruise Control, A/C, Keyless Entry, Etc.) The passenger window no longer goes down and the sunroof only goes up and down, not backwards. The car has nice custom alloy wheels, however one of the tires does not match the rest. The 2 front tires were actually replaced with new ones this past Summer. The car has a clear title and has NEVER been in any accidents. It also has a spotless Vehicle History Report.
