1979 Lincoln Continental Mark V. 87k original miles. 351/400M v8 engine, 3 speed automatic transmission. Power windows, locks, seats, air conditioning, cruise control, tilt wheel, auto dim headlights, twilight sentinel, 4 wheel disc brakes, and aluminum wheels. Vehicle runs and drives very well. It has a freshly rebuilt carburetor, new spark plugs, brakes and hoses, water pump, ignition module, window regulators, tires, muffler and tailpipe, fuel pump, and all fluids and filters have been changed. Everything on the car works including the air conditioning and cruise control. The engine runs smooth with no smoke or noises. The transmission shifts smooth with no slippage. The body is in decent shape with no major rust or body damage. It does have a small amount of rust on the bottom of the passenger side door and fender. (see pictures) The floors, frame, and quarters are in good shape. The driver side door may need adjustment or repair, as the door must be slammed to get it to close properly. The driver side vent glass is missing, it was like that when I bought the car. I have been unable to locate a replacement. I drove the car a few days ago in 15 degree weather and was comfortable, very little wind comes through the vent window. The paint is nice and shines very well, it has been repainted within the last year. The vinyl top has a few splits in it, and will eventually need replacement, but it is not an eyesore. The interior is in decent shape. It dos have a few stains and wear spots. The top of the rear seat and rear package tray needs to be reupholstered. (see pictures) There is currently no radio in it, and the speakers are missing as well. (may explain the missing window). Overall a nice looking car in good shape. Needs a little tlc, but a solid foundation for a weekend cruiser. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this car anywhere. To demonstrate my confidence in this car, I am willing to deliver it to the nearest major airport of the winning bidder within 500 miles of central NC for 50 cents per mile to cover the cost of gas. I have described the car to the best of my ability, and have made no attempt to hide anything. The vehicle is sold in as is condition with no warranty expressed or implied. It is the buyers responsibility to inspect the vehicle prior to bidding, not when I deliver the vehicle.
