Please take the time and read this Jaguar description very carefully. This is a very special Jaguar XK8. ALL OF THE ISSUES DESCRIBED BELOW HAVE BEEN REPAIRED…UPDATED….and warranted DIRECT FROM JAGUAR!!!! I have all the receipts and records FOR PROOF. I have records and receipts for many many years. If you have done your research you will know that all of the 1997 to 2002 Jaguar xk8’s had extreme engine problems!! The fact is that 80% of them have or WILL have bad engines. PERIOD!! The other major problem with these years are the convertible Tops. AGAIN….80% of them will fail!!!! Even worse….the pneumatic pressure hoses will explode and oil will spill all over the interior!! These 2 MAJOR DEFECTS will most likely occur to 80% of all the XK8’s between the years 1997-2002….this a proven fact! PLEASE DO THE RESEARCH AND CONFIRM THIS FACT!!!! DO NOT BUY AN XK8 BETWEEN THESE YEARS IF THE ENGINE HAS NOT BEEN REPLACED BY an authorized JAGUAR dealer WITH A SERIES 2 ENGINE!!! If you don’t verify this….be ready to replace the engine at some point …..at a cost of $14,000…..THIS IS A PROVEN FACT!!! NOW, also be aware….other than these 2 major defects THIS MODEL JAGUAR is bulletproof!!!!! This model Jag will give many many years of solid reliability!!
