1973 OLDSMOBILE OMEGA STREET / STRIP Classic Autoworx is pleased to offer this rare and very streetable, street/strip muscle car- 1973 Oldsmobile Omega. When was the last time you saw an Olds Omega… Especially one that looked like this?! This vehicle has been partially restored and is ready for weekend cruising (or stop light antics, though we'd never condone such things!)! LOTS OF MONEY INVESTED!!! OVER $10,000 INTO DRIVELINE, SUSPENSION AND EXHAUST!!! THIS IS A DEAL!!! Here is your chance to own a really cool cruise night attention getter! A real conversational piece that looks sinister and attracts attention wherever it goes! The Omega is based on the GM X-body platform, same as the Chevy Nova, Pontiac Ventura and Buick Apollo. The Oldsmobile Omega may not have the brand name recognition that Nova has, but it is virtually the same vehicle with different front and rear panels. It is definitely one of the last muscle cars of the 70’s era. This particular car’s VIN# denotes it as being a factory 4v 350ci powered Omega, built in Van Nuys, CA. It has been in Arizona since new. BODY/ PAINT: The paint and body on this Omega were reconditioned nearly 3 years ago and were done professionally in a basecoat/ clearcoat, then color sanded and buffed. The color is actually Dark Metallic Green with Black SS style stripes, but really doesn’t show up in the pictures. Looks amazing in direct sunlight. There are some minor flaws, most notably a crack in the paint on the passenger side rear quarter panel. A kid on a bike ran into the car. There is no body damage on the car anywhere, it’s very straight. NO RUST!!! New weatherstripping throughout. Be prepared to be the center of attention at your local cruise, car show or just at the stop light in this eye popping muscle car! INTERIOR: The interior has had some work done to it recently. The reclining bucket seats are out of a late model Camaro and are in very good condition. The carpet, dash cap, Hurst lock out Pistol Grip shifter is new and has line-lock control, the door panels are original and show a few cracks and the headliner is beginning to sag. The under dash Autogage gauges and column mounted Autogage tach are in good working order. The Kenwood CD player, amp, 6 x 9” speakers and 2- 10in. Memphis subwoofers are all newer. The stereo system in this car was fairly expensive and does shake the windows if desired. This vehicle does not have a back seat or A/C currently hooked up, though it is an original A/C car with dash vents. Engine/Transmission/Differential: This is an original 350ci 4v powered Omega, however the current engine is a healthy, built, Pontiac 400 with under 5,000 miles since rebuild. The engine features: Edelbrock Performer Intake and 600cfm Edelbrock carburetor. Competition Cams camshaft (Xtreme Energy hydraulic .462/.470) with Comp Cams valve springs and lifters. Hooker Competition headers. Moroso high capacity oil pan with pick-up. New 1500 rpm stall converter. TH-400 trans, recently rebuilt with less than 5,000 miles. Mild Trans-Go shift kit. New driveshaft from Mesa Driveshaft Service in Mesa, AZ. New u-joints. Posi-traction 10-bolt rear end. New 3.73 gears installed. New electric fuel pump The Omega has new custom 2 ½” dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers, chrome valve covers, Hi-Po aircleaner, new wires, hoses, plugs, aluminum radiator and electric fans and so much more. Should provide many years of service and enjoyment! Brakes, Steering, Suspension and Structure The Omega has stock style suspension and power steering, restored as needed. It has power disc brakes, the entire braking system recently rebuilt (Master cylinder to wheel cylinders…new!). Extended length wheel studs for drag racing. The wheels are real Centerline Autodrag’s which have always been a popular choice for street/strip cars. BRAND NEW tires are already installed. Less than 50 miles on the Toyo Proxes, in the rear (275/60/R15) About 10 miles on the Nexen SB-802’s on the front. (165/80/R15) Put them on 2 days ago. They went down the road to take pictures of the car and back…that’s it. The vehicle runs, drives and brakes as expected. This car is a 100% rust free vehicle. It has spent it’s entire life in Arizona. The underside is immaculate. The trunk compartment is rust free. This Omega has had a lot of time and money invested and had a lot of restoration work done, but it’s not a completely restored show car.
