Vehicle Detail

NO RESERVE. I am selling my 1966 Mustang Coupe in Albuquerque, NM. Due to job relocation, they will only pay for 2 cars to be moved, and this will not be one. This is a car built for my teenage daughter to drive…so I completely over-spent making it safe, strong, and reliable. I spent nearly $10,000, with every receipt for every single nut or bolt used. This car runs and drives great. It has a late model 302 with a 1966 C4 automatic transmission. Both built very strong and reliable by professional shops. I have sold 3 cars on ebay, and never had a bad deal. One car was sold this summer, and shipped to Texas. The car literally was bought on a Saturday, and it arrived at her home by Thursday. I have also purchased 2 cars on ebay and never had a bad deal. My user ID is the same for the last 10 years, with 100% feedback. Bid with confidence. Call me if you have any questions. 505-990-8069 Rear axle: Ford 9", 28 spline, 4.11:1 Posi with new bearings. Brakes & Suspension: The rear drum brakes, hardware, and wheel cylinders are new. The car has complete new stainless steel brake lines, all new (front and rear) rubber lines. The suspension is brand new up front (shocks, springs, saddles, bushings) with perfect specialist alignment. The spindles are Granada style which came complete with everything from hoses, bearings, calipers, pads in a CSRP disc brake conversion kit (http://www.discbrakeswap.com/Mustang%20Disc%20Brake%20Conversion%20Kits%20SWAP2.html). The interior has new carpet and headliner (installed Christmas weekend), and sports car JAZ racing buckets. The nose is the fiberglass Shelby R-code Racing front apron / valance. For front park lights/turn signals, I have installed a pair of bright Amber LED lights. The tires are all in great shape. The car drives straight and true down the highway at 65 mph with no hands on the wheel. Engine: 1986 block 302 bored .010, flat top pistons. Compression 9.5:1. Erson 351 Windsor Camshaft & lifters (Part # E212021), beefy, but very drivable. Roller rockers, ported heads, high rise intake, Edelbrock 650 cfm carb, headers. All new bearings (rod, main, cam) and new oil pump. Starts easy every time, fan set to come on at 190 degrees, and gauge does not ever go higher than that. HEI electronic ignition (for total reliable starting), 3" aluminum radiator with electric thermostat controlled Hayden cooling fan (will not overheat in desert here), Procomp electric fuel pump, new gas tank & sending unit, fuel inlet tube, filler hose, and all new (steel) fuel lines to the engine. 100 Amp chrome alternator. Transmission: Early model C4, small shaft, case filled. Rebuilt same time as engine by my father’s transmission shop. Torque converter has 2800 stall converter. Steel cooler lines. Body: All rust was taken out and steel replaced. Items replaced…rf fender apron at battery, both full floors, trunk drop offs, both rear subframe sections, both quarter panels, rear valance, rear bumper, passenger fender. The hood is original with hinges and has been pinned. There is no original latch in the front because of the R-code style apron. Grill and badge emblem are new. The Car has subframe connectors, traction bars, a drive shaft safety loop, and the steel “rear impact protection” divider behind rear seat. All meant to increase stability and safety (I had my teenage daughter drive the car). Interior: New dash stereo speakers, and defroster vent tubing. New headliner and windshield & back glass seals installed (12/26/2010). New carpet in October. Dash in good shape, no cracks. All bits and bobs present, new glovebox liner. Not so good items: Current paint is amateur, and needs redone. There are some bumps and dings, alignment needed on some of the bolt on pieces like (headlight buckets, ¼ panel extensions, hood, etc.) and I am sure the car could use smoothing before paint. The driver fender has an area at the rear of the tire that may need attention. Speedometer has new cable, just not hooked up because of gear ratio would not be accurate. Fuel gauge works and is hooked up, other factory gauges not hooked up. I have a gauge trio that has temperature and oil pressure which is more accurate. Radio installed, wires not hooked up (new front and rear speakers). Heater hoses not hooked up (the “Typhoon” brand intake manifold does not have a port for the heater hose return (however the blower motor does work with switch and heater core and ducts all there)). The “Procomp” brand electronic fuel pump is loud (not faulty, just darn loud since brand new install). It is a great feeling to say these are every thing I can think the car needs. Great car, which needs little to be perfect. Ask any and all questions before bidding. This car is 45 years old. It had rust. It still has rust…it is a Mustang…just being honest. So ask for pictures of what you are looking for on the car, and ask questions about the car. I have made every attempt to replace all rust, and weld in new pieces. The car is located in ALBUQUERQUE, NM. We are right off highway 40, so we are very, very easy to get to for transportation or pick up. I have a good clear title in my name. You can call during normal hours (remember we are mountain time!) Leave a message if no answer, and I will return your call. 636-990-8069 Video of the car running link below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzNx8S5xKMQ TERMS OF SALE: Immediate, non-refundable deposit of $500 through Paypal. Full payment within 4 days. If no immediate payment, I will cancel your bid and relist. I would prefer direct deposit into my national bank chain account (terms discussed later), however if you prefer I will accept Paypal, Cashier's check, cash. The car and title will not leave my possession until your funds clear. I will make myself available to assist with meeting a shipper if needed, but I am not able to perform physical loading on this car. If you have zero feedback, you must have made contact with me before bidding or I will cancel your bid. I will check for questions frequently. On Dec-30-10 at 12:50:39 PST, seller added the following information: I just realized I placed my phone number in the ad wrong the second time i listed it. My phone number is 505-990-8069. Also, I forgot to mention that an extra pair of original steel rims and good tires go with the car. They fit nicely in the trunk for shipping. On Jan-01-11 at 13:07:15 PST, seller added the following information: I had my daughter take a quick video of the car as I drove down the street. IF you would like any video shot, please ask. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aiurQqq6pzQ
