The engine is a rebuilt 350 TBI with a 50 state smog legal Edelbrock manifold and cam. The transmission is a 700R4 with shift kit. An adaptor kit from Granny's Speed Shop was used for the installation. The modifications were made by me but under the supervision of a professional mechanic at his shop in Huntington Beach where the car is parked now. Efforts were made to comply with CA smog laws but the car is not CA smog legal. The car has been driven about 500 miles since completion of the project. The top was new 4 years ago and the seats were recovered at the same time. The convertible boot and the bag for the hardtop are in excellent condition. Defects in the car are a small hole in front bumper, a scratch on the driver's door, and some cracking around the fiberglas hood scoop. The scoop was made necessary by the use of the factory air cleaner, part of the effort to make it CA smog legal. Car has not been raced or driven at more than freeway speed. Sadly, I lost interest in this project when I came upon a Factory Five Cobra kit.
