Although previous listed, this ad is totally updated. Up for bid is a 1954 Ford F-100 Step-side Pick-up Truck with its original excellent running 239 V-8 Engine and 3-Speed Overdrive-manual Transmission. When this ad was previously run I received a number of questions regarding the condition and this ad will recap the answers to most, if not all, of those questions. It is my intention to provide as much information as possible in this ad. Engine and drive-train: The original ad showed this truck as not running. I found the only problem it had was the incorrect rotor, distributor cap and the distributor was misaligned. While researching the problem, I went over the following and found compression, timing marks, valve adjustments, oil pressure, water pump, fuel pump, generator and carburetor to be in very good working condition. Transmission: After getting the engine running, I tested the clutch and transmission which engaged, disengaged and pulled in each gear and working in good condition. Suspension (original): Steering wheel, column, gear box, center link, tie rods, axels, bearings, springs, brakes drums are all in good, solid condition. Cab, bed and sheetmetal: The best description I can provide is that the cab and bed are in very solid condition and I tried to show the best and worst in the pictures. The sheetmetal is in very good condition except for in a few minor spots as shown in pictures. With the exception of the tailgate, seat, woodbed and a few other minor parts, this vehicle is mostly original. In addition to those listed above other original parts include cooling system, rear-end, fenders, switches, lights, mirrors, etc. As far as I can determined, this vehicle is pretty much unmolested. The electric system is original but some wires and harnesses need to be replaced and it will need a new starter relay. I've been bypassing the relay to jump start. The gas tank seems solid but it will need to cleaned and new lines replaced to the fuel pump. The brakes are complete with all its parts but from sitting the master and wheel cylinders will have to be rebuilt or replaced. It has the original style 15" rims but it will need tires.
