1966 Ford Mustang Convertible (all numbers match) 289-V8 Engine, 2 barrel carburetor, C4 automatic transmission, headers and dual exhaust. This beauty did not come with power steering but I do have a Ford power steering unit that is included with the sale that is ready for installation. The color is Turquoise Blue with Standard Turquoise interior. Included is a Ford Mustang Rally Pack (tach/clock). This car was my mother's car and pretty much sat in a garage until her death four years ago. I have owned the car since that time. I drive it about twice a month and have put about three thousand miles on it in that period of time. The car is a dream to drive. All guages, buttons and switches work as intended and the mileage on the odometer is the actual miles on the vehicle. The paint (original color) is in decent shape and there is no apparent rust but could use a new paint job to bring up to show quality. The engine was rebuilt at 42,000 miles just because it had been sitting for so long. The engine runs smooth and strong and sounds great! The transmission has been rebuilt and works perfectly (shifting up and down). Tires are in excellant shape. Original wheels and hub caps. Front suspension; One thousand miles on new front shocks. The interior is in good shape. The heater core was replaced at 50,000 miles. New front wind shield. All other glass is original and in excellent shape. The convertible top is in good shape and does not leak. The zipper on the back window has lost some stitching and will not fasten all of the way shut. The underneath is in good shape, no rust. I have all and any parts that were taken off or replaced (ie: exhaust manifolds) and are included with the sale. The car runs straight and purrs down the road. It is very dependable and would make a great drive about car or show car with some restoration. This is a very nice car but it does need some TLC. This car is sold AS IS. I did the best I could without a lift. The dark surface that coats most of the under carriage is undercoating that my father added when he restored the car about twenty years ago. The lighter color is due to the Wyoiming dust. Crawling around underneath, I did not see any soft or rust spots, everything appears to be very solid! Note: The reserve on this Mustang is $15,000.00.
