1997 Ford Explorer This is a great car to use to drive to work and back. I will try to list everything that I am aware of that needs attention. -Air Conditioning works but there is a leak. I had to put in 2 cans this summer of coolant but it worked once I refilled the A.C, - Body is starting to show some signs of rust but it is very minor except for base of rear hatch. -Tires need replaced to pass inspection. -Engine lite on dash is lit but I was told this is due to a oxygen sensor. - Radio antenna is gone. It was hit by item on highway and completely bent back. -Drivers side door lock does not work with remote unlock. -Engine and Transmission run well. The original engine and transmission were replaced while the vehicle was still under warranty so they do not have as many miles on them as the vehicle does. -Rear transfer case was rebuilt 2 years ago. -All 4 rotors were replaced last year -Moon roof does not work/ motor was taken out. -XM radio is installed and has both XM and Sirius radio antennas on roof. Both radios in vehicle work. -Heater works very well - Rear hatch window is 5 months old. (I hit it with a rock while cutting grass last summer) -Front window has some minor chips from rocks on highway. No cracks in any of the glass. -Cargo area has blind to cover what is below and also has cargo mat/ carpet. -PRNDL is not working. Indicator is stuck on L. - Alternator was replaced 3 years ago. - Oil has been changed between every 3000-4000 miles. -Grey leather seats with no cracks or rips Vehicle is being sold as is. I am selling this suv only because I happened to fall in love with a new Ford and even after I bought my new car I debated about keeping this vehicle for my 16 year old but she wanted something smaller to drive. This vehicle can be taken for test drive and inspected but the drive must be small since I transferred the plates off this vehicle.
