Here is my 61 Olds super 88 ( bubble top) 2 dr hard top. Due to bad health I will never retore it. These pictures are about 2 years old. My printer and picture service has gone bad, so I can not take any new shots. It did run great - smooth - powerful and shifted fine and stopped fine last time it was road driven. It is not running now and needs to be restored. Please read everything carefully before bidding as I want you to know what you are bidding on. The engine is the 394 High Compression w/4bbr carb. It has the factory crome like valve covers in really nice shape. Floors, truck floor and frame is all solid. Last plated and road driven in 2002. Car needs complete restoring or do some machanical work and use as a driver. Not running at this time. Last started and run about 18 months ago. The next time I tried starting it the battery was dead and after placing battery on charge, I forgot to turn off the ignition key. If you know anything about older classic cars, you will know that leaving the ignition on for long periods burns out the points and condenser. So it needs a tune up and also a carb kit because the accelurator pump in the carb has started leaking also. The brakes were working fine but last year while pushing it around the driveway the brake paddle made a pop noise and now the paddle is hard althought the car still rolls freely. I replaced the front fenders due to lower rust out and they may need the bolts tightened up. I have the front bumper but never got around to putting back on the car. The radiator will need repair or replaced due to damage from laying around the shop while out of the car. Car has rust in normal areas such as lower quarts, rockers and various other places. I have cut about 4 inches off the right rear lower quarter in preparation to repair and never finished. This does not show in the pictures. Cross over pipe has been cut in order to go to duals. I have another cross over if needed. There is no muffler system on the car. Interior was redone before I got the car. Seats,headliner,carpet , but is dirty from using for storage of parts and boxes. The headliner has a rip in the rear over the rear glass from boxes being stuffed in the car. I could drive this again if I tuned it up-repaired the radiator-looked at the brakes and fixed whatever went bad with them and put on some mufflers and installed a carb kit. (WARNING) This is not a get in and go car. This car needs total restoring. Car has dings, dints, rust and machanical issues. Car is not running at this time and is not road worthy. I was hoping someone would get the Overhauling Tv show to do it for me. LOL No such luck . If interested the list below is spare parts I can list on ebay. PARTS THAT DO COME WITH THE CAR... There ARE several chrome super 88 scripts.. Chrome trim for trunk lid and around taillights... Several front fender chrome plates... Two oldsmobile in dash radio's condition unknown... Chrome wiper arms... Fender skirts... Two extra brake drums... Engine carb breather. And other items like spare heater controls, nut bolts ect.. And the front bumper. Also a extra hood if you want it. Grill, Oldsmobile script lettering and headlights are still on the car and not broken. We live in a resort/vacation type area with sharp turns,hills & narrow streets. Even though it's only a mile of this type roads, Semi hauler can not get into our neighborhood,espeially in the winter time. Also most shippers require the car to be driven onto their trailer and have working brakes. I want the car sold and gone but if you need a shipper, it will only cause trouble for both of us.This is one of the reasons I have it listed to be picked up within two weeks. I have bought many cars and hauled them home myself saving over 1,000.00 on each of them in fee's.
