Vehicle Detail
I can't easily see the VIN, I'll get it on the bill of sale when you pick it up. I bought this truck for $1100 on EBAY about 5 years ago. I drove it here from south Georgia and parked it to make it a project. Life happened along the way, and it sat for a year or two. I cranked it and a rattle would come and go. The problem was a cracked flywheel - and I believe the torque converter started to go bad because of it, and it wouldn't pull steadily, so I removed it and, well... I never messed with it again. A tree fell over it during the flood down here last year. As you can see in the pictures though, the extent of damage is across the cowl and the windshield. Otherwise the body is reasonably straight. The engine runs wonderfully, however it can't be started because of the flywheel being out, and the trans is just sitting on the crossmember, and I've lost the bellhousing bolts. This truck is really a great candidate for a hot rod project.Someone had offered me $1500 for it right before I removed the flywheel, but I turned them down because I fully intended to finish this up. I hate myself for it now. Also, there is no picture of the front of it because the tree crew pushed it right up against the neighbors fence, but there is no damage there, as you can see I did walk over and raise the hood to take that pic of the engine. Again, the only tree damage is on that cowl and windshield, otherwise it's a pretty straight truck. Well, here is a no reserve auction for a classic truck that with a new flywheel and possibly a tranny with converter would make a great work/farm truck as is, or a rat rod. I could pull the engine and sell it for $300+ I know, and so could you. It's a 350ci. I don't want to mess with it anymore and it's taking up too much space. I do have the keys. Check my other items for sale, as I am selling another truck here on EBAY. Of course, you'll need to tow it. A friend owns a tow truck and I can arrange a delivery for you with him. He's regional from $1.25-$2.00 a mile. He can be flexible though, we'll work it all out when you're ready to come get it, or just bring your own truck. $100 deposit in PayPal within 48 hours, pick it up within 7 days. Cash balance when you get here/it gets delivered. I will write you a bill of sale for it, there is no title, doesn't need one at this age. You do not need to do the deposit if you're here within the 48 hours with the cash, of course. Thanks and good luck.On Dec-20-10 at 07:58:02 PST, seller added the following information: I added a pic of front and rear axle. VIN # ce149b854809On Dec-20-10 at 09:22:38 PST, seller added the following information: I've sent a message to the person bidding with no feedback, and if they don't respond by tomorrow I'm going to cancel their bid. In the future anyone with less than 5 feedback needs to contact me before bidding, thanks. On Dec-21-10 at 05:59:25 PST, seller added the following information: Added pictures of cab corner, floorboard and lower door jam. Also one of a dent above passenger door I just discovered, I could not get door open - I think the tree service did this as the limb didn't hit the roof. As you can see the floor is not rusted through and the jams and corners aren't bad at all.
